Great working with these guys and would definitely employ their services again. Showed up on-​time as promised, worked quickly and cleaned up the yard as if no work ever happened. Highly recommend them!

Highly recommend Matt and DC Tree. I contacted him to assess and trim dead branches from the cherry tree in our backyard. I chose him based on Unilocal reviews and previous not-​the-​best experiences with other tree services, and am 100% happy and look forward to using him again.
I had a good feeling from the beginning when he responded in less than a day to my email. He was able to come to the house that same day and check out our tree. He gave us an estimate to trim some significant dead branches at the top, thin out others and try to get our tree healthy again. The estimate was $ 300, which seemed very reasonable.
Matt and John showed up on time and worked on our tree for probably two hours. They brought all their own equipment and covered my garden with a tarp to make sure they didn’t damage anything. Matt climbed up the tree, John stayed on the ground and guides branches with a rope as Matt sawed them off. They cleaned everything up (blowing sawdust and small branches out which ended up leaving my patio cleaner than it was!), and even left me small pieces of the tree to dry out to use in our smoker.
Matt told us the best, natural way to care for our cherry tree, which he estimated to be 30 – 35 years old, past mid-​life for cherry trees. I really want to keep this tree and I think, with Matt’s guidance and help, we’ll be successful in having beautiful blossoms for years to come!

Took out an ugly (and apparently dying) tree out of my backyard. They were fairly priced, reasonably quick to schedule, and did the job quickly. They dropped tarps and left the backyard virtually free of evidence of the tree murder that took place. Highly recommend.

We found Matt on Unilocal.He responded very quickly to my wife’s phone call. We set up an appointment and he came on time to the appointment. Matt clearly knows a lot about trees as he explained our options plus taught us about our Catalpa.
Matt provided us with very reasonably priced options. We decided to have Matt trim the tree back off our decks and off our neighbors’ properties. Matt and his team were true professionals. They cleaned up everything when they were done, including lots of things that were not attributable to their activity, such as trash that my wife and I had not cleaned up yet.
We will use Matt and his team again when we have other tree trimming/​removal to do. We also will recommend him to our friends.

Matthew came to our house and gave us a real fair estimate. He really did a professional trimming job on our Mulberry tree. He cleaned up everything. We highly recommend his services.

Matt from DC Tree was great. He was responsive, gave me a reasonable estimate for removing three unwanted crêpe myrtles from our backyard in Georgetown. He showed up as scheduled and did a great job. I couldn’t have asked for better service.

I contacted DC Tree to trim a large tree extending over my roof line. The owner, Matt Jones (a certified arborist) came out to inspect and gave a quote. He only quoted me the necessary work (not additional work that he thought could be done years from now) and also included the price for hauling and disposal (my calls to other large outfits made that a separate price).
He came on the agreed day, and set up shop– he climbed the tree, cut off the problematic limbs, and made other needed trims. He and his crew took care to protect my house. When done, my backyard was spotless — no branches or debris left behind!
I was impressed by his work so much I had him trim my rose bushes. Those were done perfectly, far better than my amateur handiwork — and better than the landscaping company who did them the year before. The price was reasonable and he again cleaned everything up.
I highly recommend DC Tree and will be using him again.

I was searching for a company that would provide courteous, professional service, prompt results, and offer a reasonable price in removing a tree from my yard. Was this too much to ask? I thought so, too, until I found DC Tree, LLC.
I had read multiple reviews before finally landing on a Unilocal page that featured only two reviews for a company called DC Tree, LLC. Generally, two reviews would not be enough to convince me to do anything, but these two reviews appeared to be sincere. Furthermore, when I discovered that DC Tree, LLC was headquartered in the District of Columbia, I realized that I had found three compelling reasons to call them for an estimate. So on March 3^rd, I did.
On Wednesday, March 4^th, Matt Jones, owner and certified arborist, provided an estimate that included all clean up and hauling. He explained that he would cut the tree down as low as he could (stump removal was extra) and he even identified the type of tree that it was.
When the snow storm hit on Thursday, Marc 5^th, causing nearly everything in the DC area to shut down, I just knew that it would take several days for Matt to get to me. Not so. In the midst of the snow storm, Matt wrote that he would arrive at the site at 8:00 AM on Saturday, March 7^th to remove the tree. The first thing I thought was – but what about all of the snow?
When I arrived at 10:45 AM on Saturday, the tree was down and the remnants, collected neatly on a tarp they had spread to project the yard. Not only did they clean up my yard, but they were conscientious enough to clean up the neighbor’s yard, as well.
I sent pictures to my brother and all he could say was, «Wow!»

I used DC Tree to have a tree shaped and have two trimmed back from the house and thinned. Matt did a great job. He was prompt to all appointments, communicated with me throughout the process, was reasonably priced, and was very clean.
