Buyer Beware! We have only had Dish service for about 2weeks and I can tell you it’s not worth the couple of dollars you think you will save! First, we had a problem with the first technician before he even got here. Keep in mind we had only lived in the area a couple of days before getting dish network. We live on a military base so you have to come through a gate to get here and when you put our address in a GPS it brings you to the closest gate to your destination. Well their are only certain gates civilians can come through. Seeing how this is a huge company and a old base we assumed the technician knew the procedure and honestly we didn’t even think about it. Unfortunately he was not able to come through the the gate that the GPS sent him to and was yelling at my husband on the phone because we couldn’t tell him how to get to the gate he needed to get to. We finally got the directions for the guy and when he arrived he was not at all happy. After he comes in the house he asked where is he to put the dish. I showed him the backyard and again he wanted to know where to put the dish. I told him wherever he thought best. This went on for a while as we walked up and down the street to see where others had put there’s. Found out from a neighbor that it had to be put on a pole in the yard because housing will not allow them to be mounted to the garage. The man looks at me and saids That is what I asked you when I first got here. I was getting upset but thought maybe I should have known that. But because I have never had Dish I never knew to ask that question. Then he told me he had to drill a hole in the side of the garage. I told him it’s not my house so I would have to call housing. He bowed his head and said Women. Ok, now I’m upset. Call housing and find out it’s ok. So while he is drilling the hole I call my husband to let him know this guy is a jerk and he needs to come home. Go out to the garage and the technician has my son helping him. By now my husband has called and complained to Dish and they decide to replace this guy with another guy. By this time the guy has been here a long time. My husband has made it home and hours pass before the next technician comes. This guy seems to know what he is doing. We show him the hole and he saids they are not suppose to drill holes that he will just run the cord under ground and under the garage door. Guy finishes and we are happy. Then the bill comes acouple of days later. I notice the price we are told is only for 12mths and the next 12mths it is double. We call and complain that we were never told that. Representative tells us the only way we can get out of it is to pay a huge fee but after 12mths we can call back to see if we could get a better rate. Since we are overwhelmed with trying to move in and have absolutely no extra money at this point. We throw our hands up and give up. Till now! My husband goes to the garage to put some stuff away only to find our Garage is Flooded! Because we are still moving we have boxes getting soaked. Where the 2nd guy ran the cable under the door the rain water is flowing steadily under the door. I am so done with this company. Please do yourself a favor and get cable somewhere else!
