Doug was such a pleasure to work with! I had read somewhere that in picking a photographer, personality is rather important because you will be spending a lot of time with them during your wedding and found this to be very true. Doug was so friendly and really put us at ease before the ceremony while doing our portraits and wedding party photos. Also as non photo experts with almost no idea how the photography was supposed to go (we skipped on engagement photos), Doug kindly took the lead directing us to great locations and simple poses, which was perfect for us. I am sure he would also be up for more creative shots, my point being I felt he was very in tune with and respectful of our priorities/​personalities. He was also a great communicator through out. Finally, it goes without saying that his work is gorgeous. Really check out his website. Yes, you will get pictures that awesome. The photo composition is amazing and and he caught so many candid smiles, goofy grins, and silly faces. Bottom line, he made us look GOOD!

Words cannot describe our overjoyed my husband and I are with the photos that Doug took on our wedding day. Doug captured every special moment, from my family’s awesome brunch the morning of, to my husband’s look when the sanctuary doors opened at the beginning of our ceremony, to the last dance when my husband and I were a little (a lot?) tipsy and decided he would go for the dip we were too scared to try during our first dance.
Doug is professional, friendly, kind, hilarious, and above all, an incredibly talented photographer. Every single photo beautifully captured the emotions of the day.
Above and beyond his amazing photography, he was a joy to be around. Having him there felt like having a longtime friend present for our big day. He made us laugh, pulled both of us out of our shell and was able to capture our joy rather than our nerves because of it!
