I have zero faith in the competence of this doctor. I saw her five times in the span of 3.5 months to treat one eye infection that wouldn’t go away despite the different drops Dr Middleton prescribed me. Each time I’d see her for no more than 5 minutes, she’d say I must be reinfecting my eye, give me more drops, and collect my copay. Finally one day I looked closely at my eye myself and saw what was obviously a swollen, infected tear duct. A quick visit to a new doctor confirmed that I indeed had a tear duct infection and not an eye infection, and he was quite surprised that it had gone unnoticed under Dr. Middleton’s care. It can’t be treated with drops, which explains the 3.5 futile months of treatment. It looks so obvious even to me. Now I have to have full-on surgery by a specialist to clear out the infection. Dr. Middleton is an incompetent and irresponsible physician. Stay away.

I have to give them two stars because the doctor did call me back once when I had called with an eye problem and she was on vacation. That said, I would be tempted to give them only one star because of my recent experience with them. I had scheduled an appointment for 8 am on Monday and got a call the preceding Friday from the office that the«doctor wouldn’t be in until 9.» They weren’t sure who had made the appointment, but whoever it was had made a mistake. I told them I could not do 9. So, they promised to call me first thing Monday and let me know if any other times opened up that day. Monday afternoon I called them and was told, «Call you? Why? You didn’t show up for your appointment.» I pointed out that the doctor wasn’t in at 8. And then they said, «Oh. I see.» I asked to reschedule the appointment since they obviously weren’t calling me back either about other openings. So, they looked ahead and said, «Well, 3 weeks from now we can get you in.» I told them no way — it was their fault; they could work me in somewhere. Do you know what was said next? «We could do 7:30 Friday morning.» I said, «I thought the doctor doesn’t come in until 9.» And they said, «Oh, that’s right.» AAAAGH. Anyway, long story short — I went elsewhere because the doctors in the practice didn’t seem to work for more than 1 – 2 hours per day, and I could never find a time that worked and ended up hanging up on them in frustration(not typical of me) because the times they kept suggesting were so ridiculous. Even if the doctor is okay, it just isn’t worth the aggravation of dealing with the office administrators!
