Of course I’ve frequented Dunkin Donuts multiple times, but this location is particularly convenient being right where I’m living for the summer. Most of the time those who are working are nice, but sometimes they are very rude, just rushing you out of the place and they give me the vibe that I’m annoying them. However, on other days I’ve had people who have been so sweet and complimentary so it really is a bargain. This place also gives free samples occasionally, which I personally have never seen any other Dunkin do so I thought that was pretty neat! I switch up my order often, but one thing I’ve always noticed is that if I order a hot coffee from the Dunkin location it is always CRAZY hot! Not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind if you are looking for a coffee to drink right away, or just in general before you decide to take that first sip!

This is the worst Dunkin I’ve ever been to. The only reason this place is still profitable is because it’s right in the middle of GW. The donut selection is always lackluster, they’re often stale and not organized. Often times I’ll order a bavarian cream and get a lemon, jelly or some other variety. The donuts seem jumbled on the shelves without much organization. The service is universally pretty shitty. I won’t be going back here. I’d rather walk to Starbucks a few blocks away for some decent service.

I really like DD all over the country. It’s always the same, good quality. I give this place 2 stars based on the eating area. I realize it’s shared with 2 other stores, but someone needs to be responsible. Shenkman Hall eating area downstairs is a dump. I’ve been coming here for a couple weeks due to my work up the street. Every morning the eating area has Catsup spilled, and trash or food crumbs on almost all the tables. Frankly, I’ve come here because it’s on the way to the office, and I like DD. I’m not sure I can keep coming, though. Perhaps I’ll start getting off at Farragut West and just go to Starbucks. If you run DD, I’m not sure how you aren’t complaining or taking some action.

The food is good — breakfast is tasty and hot, donuts are always a win. Coffee is pretty good and hot. They are consistently fast and efficient. Sometimes this is the most important. The service may not always be top notch in terms of enthusiasm or friendliness — but they are continually improving! I’ve seen it first hand how they are trying to make the experience better for their customers. For a quick, easy breakfast or snack, this is a good place to drop by.

I think this is the worst DD I have ever been to. I mean, it’s a DD, with the usual stuff, how bad could it be? Apparently pretty bad. 1 star because: + the lady that I usually see working here is someone I cannot understand for the life of me(because of her accent). I think we often have miscommunication problems but the thing is, she gets really frustrated with me when I ask her to repeat or to clarify. Like, so irritated with me that she doesn’t repeat or just like raises her voice. I do not appreciate that. It makes me not want to order anything or ask her for anything. I was so nervous with her attitude once, I just took my drink and walked away without adding any milk or sugar because I just wanted to get away. + In the evenings, sometimes they run out of cream. Like, just out of cream. Nope, you don’t get any and the lady will not ask you if you want to substitute it for anything. She’s just like«no, you can’t have cream.» + I went in the afternoon for coffee and guess what, they ran out of medium cups. Can you order a medium using a large cup? Nope. You get small or large. No matter what your coupon is for, no matter what you really want, you have to choose small or large and they will not be nice to you about it either. They’re not sorry, they’re just like, «order small or large. no mediums.» + The girl in front of me order her«usual» and when it came, it tasted«very very bad» and she had to dump the whole drink. She said she has never had any problems with this before because she literally gets it at every DD and all the time. Apparently, this DD just doesn’t make their drinks like everywhere else. She had to just dump the drink and get something else. I will not go back again.

So in from the West Coast and we don’t have these. I decided to try it out. The service wasn’t that great. They weren’t that enthusiastic about their job and were yelling at each other about gossip. The donuts weren’t amazing either. The donuts first of all were exposed so if a fly got in then they could all be infected with more germs and bacteria. Then they were a little dry as well. The glazed I got was only covered with glaze at about a quarter of the entire donut.

Updating my review! The gals who have become a staple here are a lot better than the chaff that seemed to have worked there for a while and then(hopefully) got fired. That said, sometimes it still feels like a lot of them aren’t exactly happy to be working there and service can be a bit slow at times. They have gotten friendly, if they haven’t gotten any better at service. Twice now I have had my order completely skipped over, leaving me standing there while the man behind me(who received exactly what I had ordered, with minor variations like two sugars instead of one) received his order and left. Once, I had gotten my coffee but was still waiting on my two donuts. It wasn’t until the woman at the register noticed that I had a coffee in my hand and was still waiting that she asked me what else I was waiting on – and she was the one who took my order! She did sneak me an extra blueberry cake donut though, so that was nice.

I love that there is a Dunkin a block away from my office. They are always quick and it’s always the same XL Coffee… which is exactly what I want.

My iced latte was mostly milk. Not totally sure how you mess up a latte, but it happened. Didn’t bring it up because the cashier was so hard to communicate with just to order– maybe English as a second language? Yummy key lime doughnut.

I’ve never been one to give a low review because of service, but holy crap theirs is awful. It’s ridiculously slow– usually only one person working at a time, and they just kind of don’t try to serve you. Like I get the coupon codes from the app, and they don’t bother taking them because they can’t scan them correctly. Also they are usually pretty understocked, and don’t offer a lot of the newer products seen in most nationwide Dunkin. But, at least we have one at GW with better hours than the Red Cross one.

I have to say that I’ve been going to this place for about a year now and the service has gotten much better. I provide customer feedback for DD stores frequently and I think this one actually listened. There is a little of a language barrier, but if you get past that and make things simple and easy, they are 100% okay. The taste of the drinks have gotten better over the last 3 months and the donut/bagel selection has improved as well. Very close to the Foggy Bottom metro, on the way to the Lincoln and other monuments.

This DD is located on GW’s campus in their student center along with a few other places to eat. You won’t see it terribly visible from the street — you have to enter the center and go down a flight of stairs into a pseudo-food court. Despite the fact that it took me a while to find it, it’s a solid spot for morning sweets! While some of the workers are a little less than attentive, they still manage to get my order right and I’m pleased overall.

I’ve been here a few times and the service and food quality are usually — but I have to comment on the customer service at this Dunkin Donuts. The drinks are pretty flat — even the hot tea tasted weird. When you’re in Foggy Bottom and have a donut crazy — this will do. Just pass on of the café beverages.

It’s DD, so that’s good and all. But this particular one is terrible. It’s become a running gag with my best friend because EVERYSINGLE time we go, they mess up our order badly, whether it’s for the donuts or the ice cream.

Dunkin Donuts is great. This location is pretty terrible. I’m a grad student at GW and I have come in almost every Saturday for the last year and a half at 8:30am asking for a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich. The ladies working here seem shocked every time. For the first year, there was one girl(she never wore her nametag) who could never understand my order and would just look at the people around her for help. When there is no one else there, I seem to be able to get in and out okay, but I’ve waited for over 18 minutes once for this small order. I thought it was typical before I experienced other locations around, like the one at Eastern Market, that work far quicker and more efficiently. There is one lady there who seems to be in charge most of the time that will usually get my order done quickly, or at least alert the others that I have been waiting for a while, but if she doesn’t notice it could be a long morning wait. It’s too bad the sandwich is so good and cheap and close to 9am class, or I would find somewhere else to go.

At the last minute, decided to get an ice cream cake instead of going to Firehook, and this was the closest Baskin Robbins to the office, one metro stop away. As other reviewers have said, the employees’ English is not the best because when I called to check that they had ice cream cake in stock before I went over, I wasn’t completely sure the woman on the phone understood me. However, when I found the Dunkin’ Donuts — Baskin Robbins on the ground floor of the food court(I walked past it to what was probably a dormitory, before a man smoking outside pointed me back where I came from). In the freezer, they had birthday cakes with colorful frosting, but I opted for a chocolate cake. The blue and yellow frosting were freaking me out. At least with chocolate, you can pretend that they didn’t add artificial coloring. The employees were very friendly, asking«For birthday?» The cashier checking me out gave me a survey card which to claim a free small coffee or donut if I fill out the survey. She also gave me a sticker for $ 3 off my next ice cream cake, if I want to shell out another $ 31 for an ice cream cake. A man at the metro station was very curious about my box and asked me all sorts of questions. Perhaps, he thought I’d break it out and cut him a piece on the platform. Back at the office, there were at least 12 pieces to go around and everyone was munching happily. One guy who initially declined a piece of cake, changed his mind when he discovered it was ice cream cake. Behold the power of ice cream cake before healthy eaters!

Great location. I have friends that visit from out of town and insist this Dunkin’ Donuts makes better coffee than any of the locations where they live.

Where everyone knows your name. Well, at least my name. That still doesn’t mean they are going to get my order right, which is typically hinged on the technically difficult process of «cream and sugar?» But these are good people, these Dunkin’ Donuts employees. They smile, even when confused about the occasional simple request. Guaranteed«thank you» upon your departure — now that’s worth its weight in gold. Or its weight in sugar, which you probably didn’t get. The coffee is great — morning time when its fresh is of course your best bet but I wouldn’t go so far as to say its ruined at other times throughout the day. Donuts are fine. I don’t dunk them. Tried it once and quickly came to the conclusion that while this practice may originate from«simpler times» it definitely wasn’t «smarter times». Once I scooped all the floating bits of donut from my coffee, back to delicious business. Bagels are good precisely 40% of the time. Try one every day for a week and you’ll agree with this. But Rachel Ray approves so who am I to complain? The location, which is in the über-lovely«Ivory Tower» food court, also includes a Baskin Robbins attached to it. Too hot outside for coffee? Coffee ice cream does the trick. Which is a much better idea than getting a Dunkaccino, on account of the salmonella. Not kidding — google it. Also, in general, just don’t drink something called a «Dunkaccino.» So why does this particular coffee vender merit 4-stars? The coffee, yes. But its more than that. It’s the people. These Dunkin’ Donuts employees. These are good people.
