Not counting the remote location and relatively scarce collection, Eckles is an ideal place to study away from the crowds. During GW’s midterms and finals weeks it also offers free coffee and hot chocolate 24 hours a day; just bring your own cup. The lounge on the second floor is a great place to take a study break and hang out while browsing some children’s books. There’s also a computer lab outside the main library area with copiers and printers. More desktops, copiers, and printers can be found in the library’s lobby and yet another computer lab by the lobby. The big tables by the window on the first floor are good for people watching(occasionally distracting, of course, but mind-refreshing). There are also rotating art exhibits in the lobby throughout the year. My only complaint would be the limited hours outside midterms and finals times. It closes very early on Fridays and over the weekends. There’s of course free wifi, though I’m not sure if you can access it if you’re not a GW library patron.
