Riding around, under the influence, looking for tacos super late at night. This place was listed as open, so we go in. Luckily my partner in crime was a guy because I would’ve totally turned my happy hips back to my car! If you don’t mind guys staring at you like you’re a TV showing soft-core porn because you’re the only girl there besides the employees, then have at it by yourself! I’ve only been past 10PM though(I went around 8pm on a Sunday — this scenario still applies!), I’m sure sunny hours have a calmer atmosphere! Anyways! Enter the spot that has bachata blasting and laser lights tripping you out, then make your way towards the bar to order your food. I alwaysssssss get the carne asada tacos. The beef is always juicy and mouth watering! I tried some of my friend’s chicken tacos — they were great too. The food always takes about 15 – 20 minutes to be ready and we always order to go, but the takeout box still comes with a scoop of(buttery) white rice and generous portions of guac, sour cream, and pico de gallo. I will seriously not talk when eating their tacos, it’s that serious. They’re so perf. I will always come here for late night tacos if I’m around the way. Next time I’ll be ordering their horchata…

Well below average food for this type of place. Stale chips, very salty salsa, gooey burrito tortilla, cheese that looks and tastes like American cheese. Hard to eat. Nice staff.

The food is good, recommended by my bro who got me quesadillas the first time I had it and I was super disappointed. I’m used to the American shredded cheeses and not the authentic white Spanish cheese they used which looked super good at a distance. It was cheesy, stretchy, gooey, looking but the taste was not familiar to me so it just didn’t add up. I got chicken so it was just chicken n so much cheese that it poured from my tortilla and filled the bottom of my platter. Yet my tortillas didn’t feel like they were missing any cheese at all, I gave it to my room mate. So I said bro likes it so much I just got the wrong thing for my taste so lemme try again, I got the triple taco platter, shrimp, beef and chicken. Although I was told tacos are traditional to Mexicans and I should stick to what they do best. I forgot that advice when I ordered and I’m kinda glad I did cuz they were awesome, I only got through a third of my platter the first night. I at least tasted everything while it was hot from the kitchen.

I love this place. The food is good, it’s a hidden treasure. Authentic South American food, when you step in this restaurant it feels like you left Washington DC for a minute. When you want good South American food go where the South Americans are, this is the place. the employment of 1 English speaking person would put this place on the map. My bartender Marisol knows exactly what I want.

Pretty good restaurant, might help if they employed a few English speakers in the daytime. Food was good.

A perfectly serviceable Salvadoran restaurant in upper Petworth with a pool table in the basement and soccer paraphernalia adorning the walls and outdoor seating on Georgia Ave. They have a decent selection of tequila(including Patron Silver) and I didn’t get that«uncomfortable feeling» of being a gringo in this establishment.
