The building and décor itself is pretty crappy. It reminded me of an outdated community center. But let’s move on to the things they had for the Open house. Dogs! They had all these fluffy cute white dog breed called Kuvasz. They were running around letting people give it belly rubs. Food — They had a lot of food options — however it was a pay ticket system. One serving of goulash was $ 3 and a serving of their sausage hot dog was $ 3. It was a great snack however, I think people would just be happy to just sample a single bite for free, than pay for a whole serving. There was an outside courtyard lined with pillows to sit on. Other than that, nothing much to see.

Visiting this embassy was a fun way to spend part of the afternoon. For their Open House they offered four kinds of wine and goulash of course! They also had Hungarian folk music and folk dancing for those fearless enough to partake in. The embassy also had lots of tourist information available; different than the website stuff I received when I planned my visit. The open area for visitors is pretty much like most others. It doesn’t stand out and is not overly ornate. There is a lovely, large patio in back; great for events on sunny days like today was.
