I had the pleasure of working with James Grant to sell a property. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and as the other reviewers have pointed out they really go the extra mile. I have bought, sold, and attempted to list property with a handful of other companies in the DC area, and the attention to detail, amount of services offered, and overall professionalism and investment that ENG Garcia makes really sets them apart.

Carlos became my trusted real estate advisor over the course of my buying a house; he is simply just not my realtor.
Working with me wasn’t just a transaction for Carlos. He listened to my preferences for properties in the Oyster Adams school district (Woodley Park/​Kalorama Triangle), which he knows down to the individual block level.
Moreover, Carlos allayed my concerns, didn’t offer unsolicited advice, held my hand when needed, and didn’t push us into buying something so he could just earn his commission. He even was my therapist, counseling me through a hard time when my husband and I lost a property we really liked. We lost it because we dragged our feet, and only after we lost the property did I ask Carlos to push us when he felt that it was necessary. For this, I’m grateful as we were able to purchase a brownstone in the Kalorama Triangle at a price that we remain totally ecstatic about.
And Carlos has a team working with him. Once the offer was accepted, his team guided us through the rest of the process to closing without any hiccups. After the new house keys were in my hand, his team texted me with a reminder to call the utility companies. The customer service didn’t stop there. His team had referrals to a moving company, general contractor, gardener, A/​C guy, etc.
I am so happy with Carlos and his team that they’ll be the ones to sell my condo.

I found this team after 2 previous agents dropped the ball on a house I was putting an offer on. After less-​than-​stellar communication with that company, I found Eng Garcia by luck, through an open house. Now, I know picking an agent is a very personal choice (you either click with the person, or you don’t), I have to say compared to the other companies I worked with, this place gets everything right.
My agent, James Grant was excellent to work with. He was patient, energetic and showed me probably 10 houses/​condos before I found the one I submitted an offer on. (Note: If your agent gets exasperated with you for not choosing a property quickly, leave them — you SHOULD be a little picky since you’ll be living there every day!) In each location, he helped me walk through the pros and cons of the property, and not once did he try to talk me into something I was hesitant about. My prior agent kept trying to talk me into various properties, saying things like, «You should live here if you know what’s best for you.» (Ridiculous)
Once I found the property, James and his team worked very quickly to help me draft and submit an offer. As in, it was 9pm on a Sunday night and I was signing papers at the real estate office. The very next day, my offer was accepted and once again, this team helped me through the entire closing process. Penelope walked me through the entire process with a neat and organized email that gave me a very helpful checklist to work through.
Alana (who wasn’t even my agent!) came to the inspection and gave me lots of tips on things to look for and questions to ask the home inspector. Her advice was invaluable for a first-​time home buyer. The fact that she was able to spend a Saturday afternoon with me proves that this group works as a team and puts the clients’ interests first.
Overall, I definitely recommend Eng Garcia’s team!
