really great options for $ 5 happy hour wine! One red and one white each night til 7. Some enjoyable acoustic music starts at 6pm also! Great atmosphere and much more modern and spacious than it seems on the outside! Will likely be making this a regular spot for my hubby, friends, and me. PS they have Thomasville, GA creamery, Sweetgrass Dairy, Cheese in their rotation!!! Unbelievable find in DC!

This was my first time here after walking by it probably hundreds of times. The space is cozy and inviting, but surprisingly spacious. It appeared there was some private space down stairs as well. My friend and I both started with the bubbles flight, and enjoyed each of the three selections. We paired it with a cheese plate and bruschetta plate. I appreciated that each plate was enough to share between two people and included a write-up with additional information about the selection. I switched over to a red flight for the chocolate plate and was not disappointed. I am definitely looking forward to returning here.

2nd time at Eno wine bar. This time our company rented the 2nd floor and organized a wine tasting class as our Christmas party. We had a wonderful time, the food and wine were all delicious. From what I understand the price that we paid was reasonable, although i don’t know the details. The staff was incredible and very knowledgable of wine in general. I will be back for more advice and tasting.

Great place! I was walking on M street and Unilocaled the place, my rule of thumb is anything with a 4 star + is worth trying. I was not disappointed, the service was incredible and the food was really good. My favorite is the mushroom bruschetta I also really enjoyed the meatballs. I will definetly be back, I love good service !

Loved it! The bruschetta and charcuterie are excellent, and the wine selection is impressive. Great tasting notes and prepared flights, nothing too intimidating but nothing too banal either. Cute atmosphere, laid back but also chic. The tomato and the prosciutto bruschetta options were our favorites.

As a recent ‘departed one’ from the restaurant industry — I have been hesitant to go out because of how much I’d miss it. My experience at ENO reminded me exactly why I started in restaurants to begin with. The bartender, Lauren, embodies the definition of hospitality… 100%. Though close to the end of the night, she kept a smile on her face(even though I learned she travels quite a way to get into DC). I am impressed with the service from start to finish. The barolo by the glass and their eno tour(if I’m remembering the name correctly) was a perfect pair. I will definitely be returning and I hope that everyone gets a chance to meet Lauren, she was truly a delight!

I am an avid Unilocal-er and choose this app to look for new and exciting places to go. It was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon and I wanted a place to enjoy a good bottle of wine al fresco which steered me in the direction of Barcelona. I realized that I wanted to try something new and found this quaint little wine bar that boasts a ridiculous number of wines by the glass. If I can recall correctly, the server said it was 40 which is unheard of.(I should know… I like my wine). The server was extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu and was kind enough to make recommendations based on my description. She brought out a tasting flight and was able to determine my palate. They also have a delicious bbq chicken flatbread where you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. I will definitely be back here to try other wines.

Really enjoyed this place. In Georgetown and you almost miss it. Service was fantastic and friendly, the wine, cheese and dessert really good. We hit during happy hour and as such got a little more than we bargained for! Cheese board, crostini(mushroom and zucchini squash was what we had), bitter chocolate platter(just ok) and macaroons(to die for). It’s a quiet space, plenty of time to chat without music blaring and again, the service phenomenal, knowledgeable and friendly. Go if you are in town.

We stopped in here because we wanted to try a wine bar outside of our neighborhood(Logan Circle/U St). We really enjoyed their wine flights as their cheese and meat plate was a great pairing. The servers take the time to ask you what kind of wine you want, and this really enhances the experience. The ambiance is relaxed and it’s a lot larger than I thought it would be since it had 2 floors. They also give you a wine card with your wine flights so that you can remember what wine you enjoyed. They have some red wine drafts that are only available at their bar, so that was a nice touch as well.

I’m so glad we found this place. And, contrary to what others have noted, this place isn’t expensive. Wines are modestly priced*. Our server was very knowledgable about wines and was patient with my questions. We had 2.5 glasses of wine each, a bowl of olives, a spinach and artichoke flatbread and two crostinis(mushroom and zucchini) and the«bitter is better» chocolate flight. When we went, it wasn’t crowded and the atmosphere wasn’t overbearing or loud. Eno left a great impression of both of us and we will certainly come back next time we’re in D.C./Georgetown. I mean, someone has to try the other flatbread and eat the other macaron flavors… it might as well be me. *Check their website for specials, as they have several good ones.

The 5 dollar brunello was great and was quite the steal. The truffle Mac and cheese bordered on bad, so I will avoid the food on future trips. The atmosphere was comfortable and the service great. I will be back!

Visited a while back and found this un-posted review in my drafts today: I’ve never been much of a Unilocal reviewer but my experience at Eno this evening(7÷18÷14) was so dreadful I felt I needed to post here. I came in around 9:30 after a dinner on the waterfront with a few friends all of us in our early twenties, we live in Georgetown and have been meaning to try this place for a while. We intended to order three or four bottles and enjoy a long night but the staff at Eno had other ideas. At first we walked in asking if we could sit outside, they pointed us, aggravated at our asking, towards the back door which, when we exited the restaurant, opened back up towards the street and one or two small two persons tables… Obviously not a fit for our group of six – clearly just from us walking in they already wanted to get us out. We then asked next to sit upstairs, it was as if we had asked to be seated at a table suspended above the restaurant on a flying carpet! The staff acted as thought our request could not have been more bothersome. When we were finally seated we began to talk at the table and, god forbid someone told a joke and we all laughed, almost immediately two waiters walked by our table eyeing us and asking condescendingly if we did in fact intend to order something, bear in mind we have been seated for less than three minutes and do not yet even have menus. I, being the only one in the group with a bit of wine knowledge, was attempting to explain the differences between different vintages and what not to the others and apparently I was doing a bad job because the waiter came up and cut me off and began to almost make fun of me and us as we attempted to figure out what we wanted to order. Eventually we did order a few glasses of wine, drank them and left having quite the sour taste for ENO.

I come here almost every Tuesday for the student discount($ 5 house wines and $ 7 grilled cheese). The wines are always delicious and the servers are incredibly sweet and like to make conversation. I could die over their food. All the bruschetta is amazing(duck prosciutto omg), as are the flatbreads, and I never personally tried the grilled cheese but my classmates always get it and love it. I get the Triple Bypass cheese plate, often, to say the least, which is a good size for sharing… or eating alone. Even the bread is great, as is the little piece of fig cake or something they add to the board. I had the fondue for 2 for the first time and it was great and adorable, but the poundcake it comes with(or maybe it was extra, I don’t remember) is extremely bountiful but just not very good. It was pretty hard when it came and needed to be really really smothered in the chocolate to be eaten. The bananas and strawberries were very fresh though, and they gave us extra bananas at the end when we asked sweetly :) Apart from the poundcake, the only other problem I’ve had here was when I went once and the server didn’t come for a full 45 minutes after only giving us one glass of wine each. So we left enough cash to cover everything and even included tip, then left, because we could see her chatting with another table for literally over 15 minutes without even a glance towards our table. So, I’m really sorry about that, please don’t ban me… But other than that one experience, this place really really rocks.

I’ve been here a couple times now, and every time I like it more. The inside is so cool, with exposed brick and a modern chiq feel. It’s generally not too crowded, at least during happy hour times. Both waitresses I’ve had have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their selections. The wines they chose were delicious and exactly what we were looking for. Their selection of meats and cheeses is wonderful – there hasn’t been anything I haven’t liked. I would especially suggest the duck sausage and the pâté. For dessert, there are a ton of different chocolate options, all of which I believe come in bite sized portions. I’ve never really felt overstuffed when eating here, so unless you want to empty all your pockets, I wouldn’t coming here aiming to eat a feast. Great places to try samples of everything though. Pro tip: ask to mix and match your own wine flight. The ones they offer are great, but I prefer to make my own.

Perfect spot for a great glass of wine with your significant other or a couple of friends. Went here after work with my wife and got a couple of wine flights and a cheese board. They explain the notes on each wine and cheese, which was helpful, but you also get a card with the details for each as well. You can’t get a meal here, but this is perfect for right after work, before/after a dinner. Could be a very impressive first date spot as well.

On the west end of Georgetown this wine bar is super cute! The staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the wine. Tried a Chardonnay the waiter recommended that was really good, but was $ 15/glass which I didn’t realize. Pricier than I’d normally spend on one glass… especially since I ordered two! Oh well that was my fault. Warning: The way the cheese boards are written on the menu is confusing. Both my friend and I thought a flight meant 3 cheeses on one board $ 12 so that’s what we ordered. Wrong. What we actually got were 3 boards which was $ 36. Thank goodness they didn’t bring the third one at the same time so we cancelled that one. But I mean really every other wine bar/cheese place I know of you choose 3 cheeses for one board. I like this place it’s cute, but just be sure to read very carefully what you are ordering because I just spent over $ 50 on happy hour…

Solid place next to the four seasons. Went with my parents and girlfriend on a groupon when I came back to visit. The value of the groupon was fantastic! Four wine flights, two cheese flights, four small plates and two dessert flights, all worth it. We tried to strike up conversation with our first server, didn’t seem to be all that talkative nor insightful on the different flights. Thankfully, we had the servers rotate and had this amazing French woman come to help us for the remainder of the night. She was exactly what I would expect from a quality tasting guide, very capable of running us through the wines and cheeses, recommending other plates or bottles based off our likes/dislikes, very open and interested to hear our thoughts. The food was pretty good, I would recommend the bruschetta plate and the deviled eggs. I wasn’t too impressed with the red french wine flight, but others might like it. We did find one bottle of Argentinian Malbec that we really enjoyed, it was on another flight that we had. Overall, great service, nice place, great location and good food/wine. I would recommend it and we’ll be back next time I’m in DC.

Great atmosphere — sophisticated and cozy without feeling overly pretentious. Our server was very knowledgeable about wines, and I especially liked the ability to create my own flight since I seem to like wines on the opposite spectrum! I didn’t try any of their food here(cheese and chocolate flights!), but maybe next time!

I’ve been to Eno twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed it both times! Eno is semi-adjacent to the Four Seasons in Georgetown. The interior has a nice warm feeling to it. The downstairs is nice but the upstairs is even better. If you get a window seat and the weather is nice the open window lets a wonderful breeze. If you sit towards the center, you can peek down on the bar below. The chairs are kind of like little mini couches and encourage a non-rushed atmosphere to giggle, gossip, flirt, or unwind after work. The charcuterie and the cheese plates were well sized and quite enjoyable. The second time, I decided to do duck prosciutto only and they were able to make a board with just this.(SN: I was a little disappointed, I’ve only had duck prosciutto one other time from the Cured DC vendor and was just floored. It was still quite tasty but nowhere near the Cured DC one.) There are flights available and an extensive wine list. I’m sure you will be able to find something to suit your taste. The servers have been good and are well versed and knowledgeable in wine explanations should you want one. Stop by. Have a drink. You know… wine makes everything better!
