This place was so much fun, they played great music and the service was amazing. Me and my girl had a blast smoking, drinking and dancing I would definitely come back again.

I’m sorry. I was prepared to give this spot a four star rating but then I witness the most disrespectful service ever. Young lady asked a simple question for another coal and the young lady blatenly ignored the Sugar Honey Ice Tea outta her. Purposely took her head phones in and out of her ears. And dismissive by waving her hand on at her. I will not return soon.
Oh and they can’t mix a drink. A simple crab and vodka… really you fucked that all the way up. I don’t care of it was top shelf or not. It was straight alcohol and only a half empty glass. Smh. Bye falicia!

Good food, good hookah, nice chill spot. The tibs platters are huge; don’t order more than one! I’ll be back here, for sure. I’d give it 5 stars, but the waitresses are hella lazy with a small crowd. But you can’t complain with 2 for 1 drinks until 9 pm!

I love this place — takes me back to my time in Addis a couple of years ago.
The waitresses are very attentive and change out your coals regardless of whether or not you ask for it. Huge plus compared to other hookah lounges in DC. There is no hookah menu, just ask what flavors they have and what the waitress recommends. We had the guava mint and it was a good choice. Not mind-​blowing but good enough for a chill ladies night.
The music is a mix of reggae, a touch of hip hop and lots of Ethiopian jams. The male patrons here get down with the get down, it’s fun to get your dance on even if you do not know the ‘traditional’ dance moves.
The drinks here are STRONG. I don’t even think strong is a strong enough word. Prices are reasonable considering it packs a punch.
Fun option in Shaw, does not get very crowded which is fine with me. Good service, strong drinks, good hookah. A-​OK with me.

Listen closely to the server. There was an odd $ 5 per person minimum when we order a hookah and 5 waters. I was ready to drink anyway, but I just didn’t like my friends being put in that unknown situation

I LOVE this place!!! First of all the seating is amazing! They have an upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs there is a full bar and they occasionally have live performances and karaōke. Upstairs they usually have a DJ, who plays all types of music and is AMAZING with taking requests! They always play the belly dancing music I love! The seating is spacious and you have room to dance and aren’t sitting on top of others, which is nice and unlike a lot of other hookah places. They don’t jam pack the place and they always make sure that the customers are happy. They have AMAZING and ATTENTIVE customer service, which I really appreciate. Regardless of when I’ve gone, weekday or weekend, I’ve never been kept waiting and my hookah hasn’t needed a coal, did I mention their hookah is amazing and lasts a long time? Their drinks are amazing, the right amount of strong and they aren’t over priced at all! Their food is AMAZING! they have both traditional Ethiopian food and nonethiopian food as well. They have happy hour from 4 – 9 I believe where they have 2−4−1 drinks and beer specials as well as $ 10 hookahs. Overall this place is amazing! Great food, great hookah, great drinks and AMAZING staff! Worth coming any day of the week!!!
