Faa Barber Shop

I went to this barber shop today for the first time, and I’m happy with the cut I received. I was a little hesitant because the phone number associated with the business on Google Maps was disconnected. I took a chance on it because it was the only barber shop near my office, i.e. not a salon. I’m glad I did. The business owner/​barber is a woman named Sonya. She told me her former colleague (probably the guy Gilbert G. referred to) retired. Anyway, I received a very fine haircut for $ 18. I’ll be going back to Sonya next month. She gave me her card and apparently she’s open from 7:30 — 3:30 Monday through Thursday. The new business phone number, which she can’t get Google to update, is 703−772−0666. The only downside is that you have to go through security at the FAA building before going to her space on the second floor.

I once worked at the FAA headquarters as an intern and noticed a barber shop. Thought I would try it out since my hair was getting long and its freakin hot in DC during the summer. I told the dude not too much just kinda layer it and he said ok… next thing I know… buzzz…oops I try to look but he quickly turned the seat so my back faces the mirror… Overall the haircut wasn’t THAT bad but it wasn’t what I wanted. I think he gives the same haircut style to everyone. Oh well…
