This is a great place for a deep-tissue, comprehensive massage. Camille is professional, thorough, and genuinely concerned with the health and well-being of her clients. To me, these are the most important qualities if you’re looking for the preventive health/wellness benefits of a massage. True, you’re not going to a lush spa, but you are getting a very metro-accessible location in a small studio that is warm, calming, and well appointed. A few areas for improvement: scheduling can be a bit difficult as Camille operates a one-woman shop and appointments are only made over the phone. I think email scheduling might help solve some of these problems and ensure responsiveness. Camille was also a few minutes late for the appointment — not a huge deal, but can understand how that could be frustrating for some.

Why for the love of God didn’t I listen to the reviews?!! I will give you 10 reasons NOT to come here. 1. A little creepy to pull up to a condo building for a massage. 2. She did no intake or new client form to find out your needs, concerns, injuries, etc. 3. The massage/facial room is extremely cold and well lit. She does not dim the lights for your massage or turn down the air conditioner. Yep, you are bright eyed and bushy tailed while trying to relax. 4. I have never had someone take out their frustrations of the day on my massage. It was the equivalent of you putting on lotion in a hurry because you’re late for work. No relaxing strokes, just slap it on. Get the picture? 5. The facial was just as hurried. Like when you see some little kid with gunk on his face and his mom frantically wiping it off with a wet wipe. Not very relaxing. Not conducive for keeping product out of your eyes.(Let’s hope I don’t go blind later :-/) 6. Speaking of going blind. I haven’t don’t many facials, but aren’t you supposed to avoid the eye area? According to Camille, «I wouldn’t be using these(mask, cleanser… exfoliant!) on your eyes if it wasn’t safe». 7. She took a phone call while I was laying on the massage table waiting for the massage to begin. Apparently, she needed to check on the repairs for her car first. 8. Appointment started about 10 minutes late. Grant it, it took me a minute or 2 to find the studio underground, but«her last appointment started late» and she had to go «get laundry out of the dryers.» You understand? Right? 9. She never explained anything during the facial. For all she knows, I could’ve been allergic to every ingredient. And who would she call as an emergency contact? No one! That’s right! Because she didn’t do a new client form to get all that information. 10. Who doesn’t include feet in a full body massage? Wth?! I guess she was pressed for time, so feet you’re out of luck today. The only things I did like about this appointment is: –I got it cheap on Amazon Local($ 80 for 55-min massage &1 hour facial), –I got the full time I paid for, –And she gave me a recommendation for a new product line that supposedly works to clear dark spots & puffiness under the eye. The entire time, I’m thinking«I could’ve gone for pancakes and a movie» Smh.

I purchased a deal for a facial and loved every minute of it. She was friendly. attentive, and definitely knew what she was doing. I found it a bit pricey, but she does know what she’s doing, so it’s worth every penny! I bought a massage recently as well. She has a magical touch!

I will NOT be going back to Camille. I bought a Google Offer and it took me 3 months to even get in touch with her.(She never called me back). Finally, I made an appointment. When I arrived, her address is listed wrong — it’s suite 5 not suite 2. She was 10 minute late and didn’t even call me tell me. I had to call her twice. When she did arrive, she barely apologized at all. Then, I told her I have a serious foot injury and asked for a bit of special attention on my foot and she said no — only 3 – 4 minutes. I have NEVER had a masseuse say no to a special request like this. EVEN if purchased on Groupon or a Google Offer. She basically said, you’re not a regular client, so I won’t do it. Then, I told her I was hot but she wouldn’t remove a very hot towel that she put on my back. I will say that her pressure was good, but I was so annoyed from the whole experience that I couldn’t really relax. She is very forceful and harsh in her movements. It’s not relaxing at all. At the end, I went to tip her(even though I didn’t feel like she deserved it) and she didn’t have change so I had to tip her WAY more than I wanted to. After the massage, she acted concerned about my injury and tried to give me advice. I thought this was ridiculous since she didn’t act a tiny bit concerned when I asked her to massage my foot a bit longer. DONOTGOTOCAMILLE — if you have already bought a coupon, you might as well use it since it was cheap, but I would never ever pay more than the Google Offer price of $ 29. Her regular deal is $ 115 — RIDICULOUS.

Very accessible by bus or metro in Cleveland Park. Camille knows what she is doing in terms of deep tissue massage. It was such a deep release– fair warning– you’ll probably want to go right home and lie in a hot bath so don’t make other plans for immediately after! The room is welcoming and the massage table has a contoured body pillow, which I think is much more comfortable than lying on a flat table. She asked me about specific concerns and problem areas. She plays classical or piano music. Camille is friendly and sometimes conversational during the actual massage. I prefer not to talk and to just focus on my body during a massage, and she seems to get the message if I don’t respond much and doesn’t ask too many questions. As great as the massage was, I don’t think I will return because I was cold. Camille uses a fan so she doesn’t get too hot and therefore won’t turn it off. I get cold VERY easily and I couldn’t fully relax because I had cold fingers and goosebumps. It probably isn’t a problem for anyone with good circulation so I recommend you give her a try!

I purchased two google offers for massages with Camille. I went to one but I’m not going to the second one. Despite my repeated requests for her to apply less pressure, she continued applying painful, pointed pressure and the whole thing just hurt. I’ve had massages before where pressure was increased gradually, which is great. No massage therapist I’ve tried(granted, I haven’t tried that many) has ever refused to lighten the pressure, but when I asked Camille to do so, she simply said«I’m barely touching you.» On top of that, she seemed to want me to stop asking questions, saying, «you just need to relax and stop worrying so much» or something like that. If you like hard, pointed pressure, Camille might be for you but she’s not for me.

Camille really knows what she’s doing. I purchased a deal from Google Offers for a deep tissue. She really dug in there and identified all my problem areas, especially around my shoulders which are always giving me problems. I’ve been able to sleep better at night and feel more energized during the day. I’m used to getting massages once a month for $ 30/hour back in Chinatown, NY. Camille’s regular prices are too high for me, but I will keep her in mind for emergency sessions.

Camille is very nice and knowledgeable. The massage was great. Even though my husband and I were 20 minutes late she accommodated us and was very friendly about it. If it weren’t very out of the way from where I live I’d definitely go back.

Left four messages over a two-week span without a return call. Very poor business practice(considering I’d already paid for the service) and if any indication of her abilities with massage I’d say she did me a favor. This will likely end up in small claims court… avoid it by not going here.

Really an excellent experience! I went for a massage and was extremely pleased with the service. The room is welcoming and the massage table with a body pillow very comfortable. The place was clear, the music nice, and the massage deep and relaxing. Camille is great very nice, went over my needs/concerns before the massage, and did a fabulous job. Definitely keeping this address and already looking at my calendar when I can go back.
