FedEx Office Print & Ship Center

Just want to give a major shoutout to Carlos at this location. I had a printing emergency that he handled with so much grace, patience and sweetness. I was in this location for over 2 hours, and watched him give each person the same attention and care. Considering how rushed and stressed everyone is, that is no easy feat. Truly awesome to watch, and reminded me to pay it forward.

I stopped by Fedex on a Saturday needing to print a copy of a report and hoping to save myself a trip into the office. When I printed the color report (for over $ 1 /​page), it had ink marks on it and was not in a shape I could send on to a client, so I asked the manager if there was something that could be checked /​fixed for the printer. His solution was to white out the ink blots on my report and make copies of it, but this still looked bad. After trying to print the report again, and spending about $ 30 total on unusable copies, I gave up and decided to just make the trek back into the office. I asked if I could get any of the money refunded, and was given ~ 15% discount. For some reason I could not get a receipt once this discount was applied, so I could not even expense the remaining cost at work. Needless to say, I will not be using Fedex again and would not recommend it if you need any level of quality product.

I needed to print, sign & scan something back unexpectedly with a required Time Stamp & since the Business Center @ the Convention Center was closed, I walked a block & came here.
Ja’Mon was very helpful & friendly with his customer service. I told him what I needed, he directed me to the Workstation & I was ready, set, downloaded & print.
I needed his assistance for a moment, & he kindly obliged… even while he assisted a few other customers. He was the only employee working & seemed to be very content in doing so.
Prices are always a tad bit high, yet that’s what you get for a full service one stop printing/​shipping center offering convenience.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. One of the gentleman didn’t help us directly but he greeted everyone that walked in and asked if he could assist them. The lady helping us was efficient and friendly. She was so helpful in helping us print and bind a document. Although the prices are high, that’s what you get for convenience. The store itself could use a little touch up but overall it was a pleasant surprise considering the bad reviews I read before I went.

I am at a loss for words at how worthless this store is. I will start by saying that it took 2 hours to ship 5 things. Once that sinks in, I will expand on it by saying I’m not confident that any of the packages will get where they need to go. I will never get back the 2 hours I spent watching the creature behind the counter hunt and peck her keyboard like a one fingered toddler, as she made error after error and then restated the whole transaction. I am blown away by the unfathomable level of incompetence, not just in that employee, but in the 4 people «working» behind the counter with her who let that continue, as a line formed behind me, and no one else opened a register. Who ever owns this store needs to clean house and start over, maybe with chimps this time, they could proly run the store better

I was at a conference next door at The Renaissance Hotel and needed to print 30 pages in color within the next hour. I went to the business center where they said it would be $ 60.00. My partner was hesitant to say no because it was important to get them printed as soon as possible. Then, I remembered that this store was right next door!
I am so thankful for this place! Angela helped us print our project in color, with the perfect format on Word, and even hole punched everything for us with only 10 minutes left to spare. Thank you, Angela!

After four phone calls and three emails trying to get a quote on a simple print order, I was quoted the wrong price. When I went to pick up my order, the price was double what I was quoted. The manager reduced the price by about 18% but just getting six posters printed was such a hassle because employees were not able to provide a quote over the phone and then didn’t call me back after promising to do so. Then, of course, being charged over $ 100 what I was quoted doesn’t sit well either. If you need anything beyond simple copies, try UPS.

Super helpful and friendly staff here! After the Schwab IMPACT conference we had a ton of stuff to ship back home to SF. Tracy and her manager both helped out and welcomed me and got everything we needed taken care of. Super quick and easy!

I’ve been to a lot of Kinkos/​FedEx Office Print and Ship Centers and usually leave satisfied with great results, but I’ve never experienced as bad of service as I did at this particular center. Thanks to their incredibly slow service and complete incompetency, I will NEVER go back! There are a lot of other centers in the downtown DC area; don’t waste your time at this one!
I arrived at 8am on Tuesday to find only one person on staff. After waiting in line for a long while, she took my order and recommended a paper for my tri-​fold brochure. When I show up around noon to pick up the order, she was still working alone and I waited in line an even longer while. Once I got to the counter she showed me that the brochure paper she had recommended did not work well with folding machine. She hadn’t tried any other paper types. When I asked her to recommend and try a better paper, she discovered she had lost my file and needed me to email it to her. Since I no longer had my thumbdrive, I walked back to the hotel and emailed her the file. No confirmation was received from her saying that she got the file, so I walked back to the center and waited in line again. She then had to start over on configuring the order and printed one on the new paper. It looked much better, so I trimmed it and folded it giving her an example to work from. She said the order would be ready for pickup later that night.
I showed up the next morning and waited in line again only to find that my order of brochures had been printed, but apparently cut by an 8 year old. There were white edges on one side and the bottom of the all black brochure. No one in their right mind would look at what they had done and say: «that looks like the example» or «that looks good»! The new woman working (who was a manager) said that she’d re-​trim the brochures and call when they were complete. She stated that it would probably take an hour. After no calls, I showed up 5 hours later to find that NOTHING had been done with my order! The same manager that had said she’d fix the order earlier that day apologized and asked if there was anything she could do to make it right. At this point, the show I was intending to use the brochures in was pretty much over, so I cancelled the order.

Accessible hours, very friendly staff (they greet, the ask if you need anything), place is organized and clean. The only downside is sometimes it’s a bit of a wait to mail a package.

Extremely poor service, misplaced my order even though I saw it was before it was mounted and laminated. Did not contact me to tell me about the order difficulties, and made me miss my deadline. Then could do not anything about a refund because the manager wouldn’t be there until two days later. They cost twice as much as anywhere else and still cannot deliver on time.

I found this place on my Unilocal App — as I needed to make a last minute 500 color prints for a tradeshow the following morning. I don’t expect a lot from a FedEx Office, just be open till very late hours, decent customer service, and have working color printing machines that I can use.
When I was here, I experience two of three criteria met. The guy working the counter appeared not too happy that he had to process a color order where it was consuming all but one of the color production machines. So I took up the last color machine, and started my print jobs. However, when I was asking for assistance in either clearing out paper errors, or replacement cartridges — he didn’t seem to care about assisting me. Granted, I know how to clear these errors, however, I won’t conduct tech duties on hardware that I don’t own.
What really annoyed me is the total lack of self-​control and discipline that this individual had. As soon as a younger female customer walks in, he immediately provided her with a lot more customer service and assistance in printing pictures and pressing buttons on the self-​service photo printing kiosk.
In the end, I did get my 500 color prints made — not the most efficient or best customer service though.

I recently visited this FedEx Office for quick help on a project I was working on in the DC area. As usual — I needed last minute, specialized printing done giving the FedEx team little time. One employee in particular… Amanda… made it happen. She worked with area stores and knocked herself out to hit my close-​to-​impossible deadlines. I’m used to great service from FedEx offices around the country — but this was beyond my expectations. She is a rockstar — and she made me look good to my client. When I’m back in the DC area, I will turn to this location because of Amanda — great service. Great quality. Highly recommend!
