FedEx Office Print & Ship Center

Needed to ship some of the stuff we bought during our week vacation back East. Went here at 7:45 AM on Saturday, June 4^th and there was a sign on the door, «back in 15 minutes». No time reference, but I waited about 7 minutes until the ‘guy’ showed up with his breakfast and coffee. One star ‘ding’ for that.
He did take good care of me and acknowledged/​apologized for the delay. He carefully packaged my items and had me on my way in about 10 minutes!

Had to get a few items copied and bounded last minute a couple of times over the course of a few days.
Squeezed between businesses, found this little FedEx shop.
Worked with Sarah & Jamel and found them both friendly and helpful.
Print jobs were completed quickly and finished product looked perfect.
Haven’t had a positive experience at a FedEx in a while, so this was a pleasant surprise.

I needed to get a print made and can I just say… 8.00 FOR A PRINT ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!? That cost is ridiculous. I had a print I needed on a 4×6… Really … Come on …

The staff is friendly & helpful but I woudn’t say they go out of their way. I was in and out quickly after printing 100 pages using one of their computers/​printers. Cost me about 60 bucks. I

Got passport photos and went to make a ton of copies. Still had to wait 10 minutes after I finished copies to get my photos. Nice enough staff.

Of the many Fed Ex offices in the city, this one has lots of terminals and an manager that goes the whole nine yards to welcome and help his customers. The service quality does drop off if he is not there, like on Sunday.

This Kinko’s has it rehearsed: resist, pontificate and obstruct what the customer is trying to do. Play copyright attorney and tell the customer in no uncertain terms he can copy only items expressly permitted by store personnel on Kinko’s machines. This apparently is a FedEx-​enunciated policy.
21^st century worker that I am, my goal was to turn a very positive full-​page newspaper pictorial into a PDF to send to other employees, internally. But no, something as simple as scanning a page and going home happy with my PDF image is, predictably, nothing Kinko’s (or the incredibly misnamed new corporate moniker, «FedEx Office») can do.
Isn’t this always the «Kinko’s Experience»? Very well, I’m not giving them — or FedEx — the opportunity to tell me all the things they can’t do, again.

ok, so i went the very next day after I posted the original I had to go back to this location. The experience was almost flawless. It was as if they had read the review. It was eery.

I will start this review with I usually HATE having to have anything done at Kinko’s, but last minute tradeshow needs made it necessary, and man did this staff pull through. Must be a DC thing!
My graphic designer from work, submitted artwork via the Web, and being the professional she is, she called to confirm receipt, and the staff was like – «no worries, the graphics will be ready at 12:00 on Monday.» Without these graphics, my booth is bare – no branding at all – bad news, update the resume, pack up your desk.
I also needed color copies made and needed them quick – no problem once again. I picked everything up – great quality and customer service. i would use them again without hesitation.
