I had a positive delivery experience here. Further, I ordered about 20 minutes prior to closing, using the app. That said, the pizza was promptly delivered, huge, and reasonably priced.

Got two pizzas(cheese and meat lovers) and a cheese calzone. The pizza was greasy, but that is what we were wanting. Overall the group thought the pizza was very good and the calzone was as well. For the money, we thought it was a good value.

If you want delivery from this place, just don’t. The pizza is decent but their delivery service from the Dupont Circle location is sad, lame, abysmal… you get the idea. I ordered from the Dupont Circle location this evening(9pm) and I get a call 40 minutes later — after my credit card had already been charged — from the manager indicating he only has one delivery guy and won’t be able to deliver my order I had placed 40MINUTESAGO. He also seemed like he was doing me a favor by crediting my card back for the pizza… the pizza that he was incapable of delivering. It’s shitty service like this that makes you permanently lose customers. Avoid this place at all costs.

Great thin crust pizza, NY style. Their white pizza is my favorite. They don’t deliver(at least they don’t deliver reliably), but it’s a great place to drop in for a slice or get pizza to go, especially if you’re drinking at the Board Room.

Ordered via Eat24. An hour after I placed the order(and about 50 minutes after the application confirmed my order), I called the restaurant. The person who answered the phone was rude and told me that they only received the order 20 minutes ago. He couldn’t have cared less about customer service and was rude and belligerent. Based on the previous reviews, it sounds like they have a long standing history of poor customer service. In addition, the pizza was sub-par. Overcooked and dry — not enough sauce. Clearly they’ve never actually eaten real NY pizza. Will not be ordering/buying from them again.

Horrible service. Came 20 minutes before close for 1 quick slice, 5 slices were on the counter, and employees would not serve me because they had closed cash register 20 minutes early. I don’t recommend you go if you support lazy workers.

Flippin Pizza is a solid place to grab a slice or pie of pizza. Nothing amazing, but always good quality for a good price — if you’re at the Board Room, you can mention it and get a discount!

Ordered a gluten free Brooklyn for delivery, for my first time trying this place. Order took over an hour to arrive. Was given the wrong pizza. Pizza was cold on delivery. Not flavorful at all. Not really interested in trying it again. Glad others have had a better experience!

Great pizza, good service, excellent price. Can you ask for more? 2 slices *any kind plus a drink. $ 6.

We were at Board Room a couple stores down and seeking some easy grub. We came here and picked various slices of the pizza they had ready for take out. We brought it back to Board Room, and they’d packed it so that the slices were divided up with paper plates and wax paper. I’m not looking for anything fancy, but it was pretty difficult to peel the wax off the pizza without sacrificing all of the cheese. The pizza was chewy and made the jaw sore to eat. As far as quick inexpensive bar food goes, it did its job.

$ 6 for two slices of pizza and a soda… can you really complain? Yes, the pizza is not the best but you do have variety: margherita, pep, buffalo, Brooklyn(sausage & pep), etc. Seating is limited inside but it’s decent for a quick bite when in the area.

Pretty average pizza place. I’d say it was one notch below Pete’s, which has a bit more flavor and better, crisper crust. If I lived or worked in Dupont, I’d probably come here semi-regularly to get my pizza fix.

Maybe I got there on an off night, but I was drunk and still didn’t think this was that good. I love that there are establishments not afraid to serve slices, but the quality drop off from a fresh made pie and a slice was amazing. My slice was fine(had worst; had better), but the type of crust does not do well with reheats. Also, the crust tasted like saltine crackers and had the same consistency by the end. On the other hand, those who ordered whole pies looked like they got a better effort all around. The guys working the ovens and register seemed like at the end of a long day and not up to quality control. Happens to all of us, but for pizza I was unimpressed all the way around. I was psyched to try this place after drinks at McClellan’s — next time I’ll just wait until I get home to get some slices from Italian Pizza Kitchen.

NY style NY style NY style is all I hear. This is another place where I get frustrated by Unilocalers and«foodies» spreading false gossip. NY style is soft thin crispy pizza. NOT soft doughy pizza. The place feels like it cheaps you in terms of toppings. So I suggest you get a pizza with a number of toppings rather than one. Or you will barely have any toppings. But really you get what you pay… cheap pizza for a cheap price. I would order again… when i am in a hurry and they have a working relationship with board room for 25% off.

Came here after a night of boozing with my brother from another mother and his wife. The pizza slices were good old NY style which pleased the alcohol beast inside of me. I got the sausage and pepperoni slice and while it was good I felt it could have had a little more sauce on it. The workers at Flippin’ Pizza are pretty cool and don’t mind chatting with the drunk patrons.

This review is based solely on the lunch specials because I’ve never ordered delivery from Flippin Pizza. When I worked in DuPont Circle, Flippin Pizza was conveniently located a block away from my office. Though I agree with some of my fellow Unilocalers that they don’t give you a heaping amount of toppings on your pizza, I personally can’t complain. They have great lunch specials, especially when you want to eat out and you’re on a budget. For around $ 6⁄7 you can get your hands on not one, but two slices of pizza(of your choosing) and a drink! For around $ 4 I believe you can get one slice and a drink! Service for me has always been pretty good. As for seating, there are tables within Flippin Pizza :) so if you wanted to grab a bite with a colleague it is possible! Also SIDENOTE, but If you happen to be over at Board Room DC one night and you get super hungry this location is open late. And guess what? Since Board Room DC doesn’t serve food, you can just let the works at Flippin Pizza know you’re at board room and you can get a discount on your pizza. Whoop whoop. Pizza, beer, and games and awesome lunch specials? What’s good, Flippin Pizza?!

I may be a tad biased considering I’m from New York and I mean seriously, does any pizza compare to a New York slice? This is a rhetorical question that really needs no answer. Stopped here out of pure desperation as I was on the verge of Hangry. There were so many people in there that you would have thought the pies would have been cranking out nice and fresh — negative. The cheese slice was lacking any substance. The cheese was cheap, the crust barely there. Why two stars? Because for all I know this pizza is great compared to pizza standards in DC.

Blech! How can anybody eat this stuff?! Now I’m no pizza connoisseur, but I know inhumanity when I taste it. I’m pretty certain that if I put cheese on top of the box it came it, it would probably taste just like the pizza inside. These were the flattest, driest slices of pizza I have ever had. Super thin crust with and an even more paltry layer of cheese and the slightest coating of pizza sauce I have ever witnessed. I’ve had better pizza at the mall. And eating it… I felt like a lion on the Discovery Channel or something, ripping and tearing tough chunks out of my prey. I almost got lockjaw trying to chew it. And there was no way I was going to try washing that crust down. My gullet deserves better. The only good thing about this pizza was that I treated(ha!) to it and didn’t have to pay for it myself…

I would describe this place as a very decent place to pick up a slice of pizza. The pizza is pretty delicious, but not actually perfect because the cheese tends to harden as the pizzas lay there, which happens to any pizza, but it makes their ‘cheese’ pizza look particularly strange. Taste is good, service is fast, and the price is reasonable.
