Globe Motor Service

I have been taking my benz (s) to Globe since I moved here in 2006. They are totally legit, honest and reliable. My last S Class had 212,000 miles when I traded it for an ML. I would drop it off with Globe every 3 – 4 months just to let them check it for preventative issues. I am astounded at their honesty. Often times they would tell me nothing was wrong with the car at the end of the day. When something was wrong it was never a laundry list-​just what needed repair. I believe they have moved to R.I. Ave. where the old Nissan warehouse was.

Do NOT, under any circumstances, take your car here. My experience: after having my car in for a minor repair and an oil change, my low oil warning went on after only 5 days. Opening the hood to check the level, I noticed that the engine cover was missing. AND the oil level was 2 quarts low! When I went back to globe, there was my engine cover sitting by the garage door. I marched in, picked it up, and put it on my car. No one had noticed that they left it off OR that it this engine cover was just sitting there for a week. I then realized they hadn’t changed the oil at all but charged me for it. Rather than have these junkies with my car again, I changed it myself rather than let them so much as look at my Merc again. Oh yes, then I noticed that they had also left off my fan cover that connects to the air intake assembly!!! By that time I was out of DC.
If you need to have your Mercedes serviced in DC, there IS NO PLACE in the city. Do NOT take your car to an independent. There ARE none, regardless whether they have a sign that says they specialize or are certified in Mercedes. Take your car to Arlington Mercedes. They are a fabulous, fair and very competent dealer. Yes, I usually don’t like going to the dealer either, but I found that they really are very fair with their pricing and have excellent service. Besides, you don’t have a choice in DC.

I need to update this review because Globe Motor Service has continued to give my Benzo and me such great service. They are so efficient and honest in their repair services. I’d stack them up against any Mercedes dealership service department.
