The premium pistachio ice cream was not premium at all. The texture of the ice cream was fine but the taste of the pistachio ice cream was off. It had whole pieces of pistachios with a few that tasted bad. For the price and a little more, I could have settled for a pint of Talenti’s pistachio gelato. I also ordered the dark chocolate with raspberries and regular chocolate, both flavors were great no issues. For three scoops, we paid a little over $ 11 dollars, not the $ 7 like someone had mentioned earlier. I know another Unilocaler mentioned about prices, they do have prices displayed. I knew how much I was paying for my ice cream scoops. The place is small and it does smell like fried food, other than that I think it’s a good place to grab a scoop of ice cream if you’re around this place.

A cute and apparently family business with wonderful ice cream and home made truffles. Nice folks behind the counter!

Awesome! Seriously perfect ice cream served with a smile and courtesy after a late evening. So glad we came upon this terrific location for a late night treat. Should have come sooner! Thank you for the fabulous, evening sweets! And the smiles and greetings… Will come again!

If you are craving a delicious snack near the White House, I scream that you’ll scream for Hershey’s Ice Cream. Hershey’s Ice Cream is a small ice cream parlor overlooking McPherson Square. It is one of the few establishments in the shadow of the White House serving ice cream. It was on the Thursday after visiting the National Zoo and partaking in the Manager’s reception at Homewood Suites that I was up for some ice cream. When 9 ‘o’ clock strikes, many of the businesses close for the evening. This includes the coffee houses. Hershey’s stays open later. When I walked into Hershey’s Ice Cream, I was decided on two scoops of ice cream served in a waffle cone. I was undecided on the flavors. So many choices and unique flavors. Ultimately I decided on blueberry cheesecake and peanut butter cup. On vacation it was so worth the close to $ 7 that I paid for it. The delicious ice cream melted in my as we sat outside taking in a nightime McPherson Square. The ice cream was a tasty way to fill up before a short walk to the White House. I want to pass on a scoop of information. Hershey’s Ice Cream is not affiliated with Hershey’s Chocolate company. They are two separate companies that have had a long history of suing one another. The two companies share three things in common. They originated in eastern Pennsylvania. They have the same last name. They have been serving a delicious product for over a century. With that said, this is not the shop to buy a Kiss or Mr. Goodbar. You never know when the craving for delicious ice cream attacks. If you are near the White House, a visit to the Hershey’s Ice Cream parlor will melt that craving.

I went in on Thursday service was fine. I requested a flavor it was delicious. I purchased it. Very satisfied guest and was ready to share the world. I went in Friday night. It was different energy. I was taken aback to be charged a different price(of course higher) price for the same item I purchased the day before. There was no apology or no empathy. He wanted me gone. I was completely fine with both prices but it was the principle. I can tell this is definitely independently owned.

I have been here twice and have had a great experience both times. This appears to be family run and everyone that works here is extremely friendly and attentive. Hershey’s is predominately an ice cream place, and I really wouldn’t recommend coming here for anything but ice cream. I’ve never experienced anything besides exceptional service and delicious ice cream. There are a few tables outside, but this establishment is so small that there is no inside seating. If you are a tourist, I recommend you get ice cream and walk down to look at the White House, which is just a few blocks away.

They didn’t know how to make a banana split… there’s a picture for them to follow and they couldn’t get it right. I take my banana split outside and there’s no hot fudge, no nuts, no caramel. What’s a banana split without the hot fudge?

I wanted to write this review because the people who run the place made me so happy. It’s ice cream, and they make the experience even sweeter. The two younger employees kept offering us samples, they obviously loved sharing it. The older gentleman happily watched my kids play and gave both super bouncy balls. Ice cream is always a treat and their joy makes this place special.

Took a few minutes to get served. The gentleman before me placed an order for a sandwich. He said he had been waiting 15 minutes. Five minutes later he received his food and was back in three minutes stating there was a hair in his sandwich. I left…
