I am giving this IHOP two stars as a courtesy but they really really suck. We ordered pancakes, turkey sausage and sirloin tips and the majority of it was overlooked and just didn’t taste like IHOP. BOOOO!

If I could give this Ihop ZERO stars i would but they get 1 for the manager who was kind enough to let me air out my issues and remove everything from my bill except our drinks, and this was after I started to walk out and leave which is a NONO in my book but I was that mad… after waiting over an hour and asking more times than I can count our server still did not bring utensils, water, or our order to the table… We had food before we had forks/knives/spoons…Food was cold and not fresh i ordered a egg scramble with avocado and avocados were hard as an apple, order was wrong, oh and the best part! the manager got into a fight in the restaurant which spilled outside the waiters/waitresses moved fast as s*$t to watch that but move at a snails pace to serve their guests smh… Overall this place is a mess don’t waste your time or hard earned money, I know they opened this place with hopes that it would give folk on this side job opportunities and Ihop doesn’t pay much but that is no excuse for what i experienced today. I will never return and I try to patronize business in my area but I see I gotta drive a lil ways or pay more to eat in a establishment with employees who have customer service skills…

As soon as I walked in on 01.30 in the morning, greeted with a smile, seated quickly, met by Chervon and she was superb the whole time I was here. Wonderful young lady and the entire staff I can hear throughout the restaurant was thanking guests and stating their name and asking them to return. Wonderful breakfast this morning. Thanks IHOP #Ward8Rising

I was never a fan of IHop until I ate at this Alabama Ave SE location. The food is delicious every time I go. I only order breakfast. They ran out of stuffed french toast on this visit but the regular french toast was good too. I’ve never had bad service here.

It’s hard to write a stellar review of a chain. This IHOP tastes like every other IHOP. What I do like is that there is ample parking, it’s rarely overcrowded, the food comes out quickly and the staff are friendly/welcoming. Also, it’s a community store. They have a bulletin board of educational information and activities in the area.

Called 8 times to get a to go order and the phone was plainly left of the hook. I was with a big group of runners from the base that wanted to order so at least 8 people called for an hour. The phone stayed busy. When I got there the employees recognized the phone was of the hook and made mention that it was like that for the overnight shift also. Umm #pointtaken. They are obviously not interested in 20% of there business. Very non-chalant about it. Says a lot about the people that work there.

Having been to two local DC IHOPs, I have found them both very worthwhile. I get the coffee pot shortly after I sit down, and then the order comes out before long. So far, I and a friend have had no complaints about either food or service. I am a real fan of their Chicken Florentine Crepes. Really very good. The coffee is good too. Not as good as the Yuban I make at home, but satisfactory. I frequent the one on 14th and Irving NW and the one out on Rt. 1 by the Beltway.

Chain restaurant, so with ihop what you see isn’t always what you get. The service has improved, living close by for the past 3 years I have seen some staff changes and I like it! Easily accessible, great pick up service and dining in has become more enjoyable.

Food was good. Service was horrible. Upon placing my order the young lady asked for my name because she needed my name so that when my order was ready I would know. When i gave her my name Kia. she said«no you said Tia»…RUDERUDERUDE! …But other than that food didnt take that long to come out. I placed a carry-out order. Also, this location is next to Congress Heights station. Not a location I would recommend going out to eat. But hey Its close to those that need a go to Ihop in the area. I just really wish that had more professional staff. Staff look a bit unprofessional like theybare clubbing instead of working…

So, it’s IHOP. Yup, a regular old IHOP. Hard to review too much about the food because what you get here is what you get at any one of the bazillion IHOPs across the country. I’ve only eaten breakfast here, but I’ve never had a problem with my order. Some of the staff can be a bit unprofessional, but really I’ve never had bad service. This is one of the only sit-down restaurants east of the river.

I think the employees have great intentions but they’re just hood. Tyoka Jackson former NFL player and franchise owner could do much better. My boiled eggs were cold and the server was nonchalant about it *sigh*. You can’t expect too much in S. E

I lived not too far from the Ihop but, never took the initiative to go in. However, I did yesterday and I wasn’t happy about my food. It had no taste to it and it wasn’t hot. One of the waitress nearly had a attitude because I wasn’t satisfied with my food.

d3cent, But ghetto. People that come in there like teenagers are really ghetto. My friend and I almost got into a fight WOW at A restuarant! because a girl was looking at my friend mean hating while they was leaving so my friend said can i help you? This ihop should be a 24 hours. I dont know why they charge more after a certain time. I think thats pretty stupid. One time I ordered a appetizer togo i asked for marinara sauce but someone gave me cocktail sauce. Who tf dips onion rings in cocktail sauce. Oh They charge your extra for take out. Why does Dc always charge extra for something ? Only good about this IHOP is police be on premises

This IHOP is exceptionally clean, the food was served hot and tasty. Everything was cooked perfectly.(I got hot cakes, sausage, hash browns and scrambled eggs & a glass of OJ). It was my first visit(decided to drop in after my morning run around Noon) and I must say it was a pleasant surprise. Rose was awesome, down to earth and attentive. Great customer service, good food. I’ll be back.

Well I don’t expect much from iHop… but I went in for Chicken and Waffles and there was a longest Hair hanging out of my Waffle. I’m not sure how the cook missed it as it was cut in four and stacked a certain way I saw the hair as soon as the plate was sat in front of me. The waitress took the food out but i didn’t want another since it seems like it was in the batter. I was surprised that the manager didn’t come out or anything. They just talked about us from across the room. So for that I probably won’t be back to eat there again. The owner is a great but I think solely because of the people here they feel like they don’t have to come to work and be nice to people paying them. Maybe they aren’t being tipped enough I have no idea but they don’t care about service there. I think the owner needs to look into the fact that nobody has a great experience here. Maybe it’s time to meet with the staff and revamp their customer service.

ONEWORD… DRUMROLL… GHETTO! They will have you calling and calling and calling to place a take out order and then having you holding and holding and holding on the line before you decide to go to the place and investigate what is the reason for such crappy service!!! At least that’s what I did. I got there and the«blob of rachetness» had me on hold not knowing I was the person she had on the line holding and then acted liked she wasn’t letting the phone just ring nor was she the one answering the phones!!! I told the manager who was probably just as unprofessional as Ms. Blob however she did her best to accommodate me… and apologized for what occurred; I wasn’t convinced.

slow, very very slow. if you don’t have anywhere to be afterwards then i guess its an okay ihop location. The food is just like any other ihop… maybe a bit below but still the same. service wasn’t rude though so thats a plus. they just took their sweet time.

So we walk in and the the server doesn’t even look at us just grabs some menus and starts walking… About 30 seconds later she walks back over and says«so u guys here for a table or what»… Really?! We sit down and we figure the server will come back in a minute or two asking about drinks…10 minutes later she comes to take our order along with our drink order… that’s fine that didn’t bother me to much… I will say I’ve never had a server bring out«clean» silverware in a cup of hot water… what is that… Who does that… I’ve never been to a place that did that… The food didn’t taste right, the eggs were the most runny and greasy I have ever had. To finally top it off she gave us the check 2 minutes after we got our food and when I said we where planning on getting desert she gave me a dirty look and an attitude about it… whatever we won’t get dessert nor will we ever come back to here… this place completely ruined IHOP for me…

For those that are not aware, this location is NOT in a particularly safe part of town. Yes they’re undergoing some changes but still… it’s not an overnight thing. That being said, the food and service can surprise you. It’s not bad and the staff tries to accomodate everyone. Like at any other place, some servers are better than others but generally speaking it’s not a bad experience and the food is about average.

****Beep… Beep… Elevator Music … Beep… Beep… «Customers are experiencing wait times in excess of THIRTY minutes. Please continue to hold, as we will direct your call in the order in which it was received»… Beep … Beep…**** Sigh… Not Quite! If only IHOP had a professional answering service for this location, instead of just the vacant line, with the echos of hunger pangs resonating through my rib cage… WAIT… actually, all they are doing is serving up pancakes. There is no need for me to be on hold on my phone for more than thirty minutes to place an order for … pancakes… All I wanted was my pancakes… Rants… Pouts… Stomps… Collapses from starvation and dramatized reaction to poor customer service. Honestly, I blame the management. The employees are nothing but sweet, hard workers who are doing the best they can with a limited staff? High-volume patronage? Vanishing pancake batter? Hey, I don’t have the answers, but neither did I have my breakfast. Two stars, because the last time I came in to place a pick-up order, instead of calling ahead. I only waited for, say, at least 45 minutes in the restaurant … and actually received my pancakes. I sat there twiddling my thumbs and thinking«Next time, I’ll call»… At least they offered me a smile and a drink for my patience. Note to management: I’d hate to wonder why this was never an issue in the Arlington location…
