There are LOTS of food trucks in DC offering a variety of enjoyable meals. There are even a lot of Indian trucks offering tasty Indian food. Sadly, this truck is not really among them. They’re friendly but receiving your food is a crapshoot, they lose track of who ordered what and they don’t use numbers so there’s a good chance people get someone else’s food with the wrong sides. The food itself is far below average, the chicken was fattier than most and didn’t have much biryani flavor. The chickpeas tasted canned and I can’t review the lentils since they accidentally gave me spinach instead, blech. The naan was actually awful too, it was somehow slimy and cold. Not sure how they made naan slimy but they did it. On the plus side the salad and rice were okay but that’s the best I can say. Skip this place and save your money, one of those frozen dinners would be a marked improvement over this truck.

I ordered chicken biriyani. It was really bad, no taste. Opted for spinach paneer and lentils as sides. They were even more tasteless. I could cook way better in worst of my cooking. Can’t believe everything could be so bad. No wonder there was no line when I went to buy my food :( I would stay away from this truck. Hoping they take it seriously and do better job of cooking good food.

Should be titled No Indians allowed. Not Indian but went with my Indian friend. And we had stomach aches the rest of the day. The biryani looked like Mexican rice— this weird orange color. And it had broccoli and big pieces of carrots in it! I’ve been to India and can cook– so strange! The butter chicken tasted watery — again very weird looking with somehow too soft chicken. What was in that curry?! He didn’t even blink when I complained. Looks like they had a business that was shut down. Now they r a food truck! Be warned!

Less than impressive. Food had that mushy, «sat in a vat for a long time» flavor. Garlic naan didn’t have much flavor. Tikka Masala Chicken was disappointing. Saag(spinach) was ok, but the eggplant side was actually very good, with nice strong spice. Needs more like that.

The naan and spicy squash(new veggie option) were AMAZING! Slightly burnt but not«crispy burnt» naan and it was so soft even after cooling off. The gentleman that helped me gave me a free bottle of water and free side of squash to give it a try, he even ran back to me to make sure I had my naan. The butter chicken isn’t the best I’ve had but far from the worst, sauce is thinner than what I’m used to but still good nonetheless. The chickpeas were good as were the lentils. I’m going back for the sides!

I got the butter chicken– super tender– fell apart, and good flavor, but be warned– the sauce is not the same orange tomato cream that you come to expect– it is much lighter(I have no idea why, but it still tastes good enough to drink). The mixed veggies were also good and have a little spicy kick. The spinach tasted fine, but the consistency is like baby food– not a good texture. My naan tasted good, but it was burnt on the outside. 5 stars for chicken and veg, 3 for spinach and naan.

The food was good but definitely didn’t wow me. I’ve only tried the butter chicken, which was just OK, but the chickpeas and lentils were better. I was pleasantly surprised that the naan was fresh and hot(but not crispy). Overall good value, but probably won’t go back.
