Beware of this agent. We recently purchased a house from a developer represented by James Carr. At the first open house I went to, James noted that the brand new refrigerator had been damaged on installation and that the seller would repair it. Repair of the refrigerator was an agreed-upon condition of our ratified contract. The day before closing, James assured us that the repair had been made. We did our walk-through and the repair had not been made. The day of closing, he assured us again that the repair had been made late that afternoon. After closing we found that the repair had not been made. The repair man later told us that he had informed the seller that the repair was not complete before closing. Unclear whether James was lying to us or his client lying to him. But even if the latter, he was unwilling to put in the minimal effort it would have taken to find out whether the repair had in fact been made. We are still trying to get this resolved as it is his client’s responsibility to fix the problem. He has been totally unwilling(whiny even) to assist. Unprofessional performance all around.
