Jimmie Muscatello’s Washington

Muscatello’s is the sole clothing spot in the greater Washington D.C. metro area that provides a wide variety of uniforms and equipment for several uniformed agencies. The only other places that offer this wide of a selection, but unfortunately are located in the outskirts of Maryland is this place called On Duty Supply in Waldorf (formerly Southern Police Supply) and Howard Uniform in Baltimore. If your agency has sent you to Muscatello’s to get fitted for uniforms and equipment or if you wish to purchase uniforms and equipment for your job, this is definitely the place to come.
Muscatello’s has always maintained a high level of customer service as long as I’ve known them. I really enjoy working with Elvita. She’s straight to the point, knows exactly what size you need just by glancing at you, and she’s very attentive with ensuring that your uniform fits you comfortably. Everyone at Muscatello’s makes sure they take their time with you to see if everything fits perfect. It’s never a rushed process and they’ll get you what you need. Now it can be a double-​edged sword because the slow process can create long lines, but when its your turn to be helped, 100% of their attention is totally on you.
If you need something and they don’t have it in stock, which is rarely the case, they’ll gladly order it for you. Provide them with your cell phone number and they’ll call you when your order is ready. Alteration to your uniforms or personal orders can last upwards to about a week or two before they are ready which isn’t bad. I’m a big guy and they did a great job with altering my outer carrier vest. They customized it so well, I couldn’t even tell that they even customized it and I thought it was a special order.
When your agency gives you that paperwork to go to Muscatello’s and get your uniforms and equipment, you aren’t really concerned with the total cost of everything. But when you come out of the pocket and make your own personal purchase at Muscatello’s with your own money, realize it can get pricey really quick. I always tell people that they must invest a little money in themselves if they want to become a better person, so don’t get caught up too much into how much something costs. A small self investment can go a long way and in some ways, it might save someone’s life.

This was my first visit to Muscatello’s & I was impressed with the merchandise displayed around the store. However the associates can be distant but depending on which associate is servicing you they can become attentive.
When I walked in the store all of the employees were at the front counter. No one greeted me, let alone said that I would be assisted shortly. All three employees saw me but did acknowledge me so I simply stood there waiting for service. One employee was already servicing two customers… excusable. Another was standing in front of the register, I have no idea what she was doing but she continuously glanced up at me w/​out a word. The third employee was walking in & out of the back room.
After waiting approximately 5 mins the third employee finally asked if I needed assistance. After explaining my need for an exchange she briefly looked at my receipt then gave it back. She went into the side room grab 2 pairs of slacks stuffed them into the a bag & bid me a good day.
It was only after I got home did I realize that she gave me the wrong color.

Been coming here for 22 years they are still the same. People don’t realize they service many different Businesses and Departments.
MPD loves them they are great with the fittings and making sure your clothes are well fitting and do great alterations.
Not a place I enjoy coming to but if I have to go somewhere I guess this place is it for me :0)

If I could give zero stars I would. Walked into the store and stood for 20 mins. Found what I was looking for but never was greeted to ask if I needed any help. 3 associates behind the counter only 1 was busy just stared at us. Black and and Spanish lady were busy but the brown guy and other employee was simply running their mouth. I’ll take business elsewhere

Very good customer service. Everything required for my job. They were able to complete alterations on spot

My agency got all out uniforms/​gear from here, it is the fastest place to get something sewn on a uniform and alterations are pretty quick too. The customer service is great, the best person to ask for is Ram.

police and fire uniforms– friendly and helpful– they get alot of work from police and fire depts. usually good work. a bit on the pricey end but if you need uniform stuff here is your place.
