Dr. Klimkiewicz is absolutely the best Orthopedic surgeon. He is very skilled at his profession and also has a very compassionate bedside manner. A rare find these days in the medical profession, especially in university hospital as the amount of patients that he needs to see. My mother had 3 surgeries with Dr. K and due to her age, was not an easy case, however all 3 surgeries involving replacements were incredible and the quality of life he gave her were a gift ! He is incredibly gifted surgeon. He is my and my children’s to go to orthopedic Doctor as he is thoughtful, conservative and compassionate. Just heard he is going to private practice– long overdue as I believe the patient /Doctor connection will be a better experience than in Hospital practice. Highly recommend him!!!

The wait time is unreal. I had an appointment at 10:30 and the office asked me to arrive at 10:00. At 12:00 I had still not been seen. Dr. Klimkiewicz came highly-recommended few people are worth having to miss a half day of work just for an initial assessment.

Dr. K absolutely rocks. He understands athletes and gets you back up and running(literally) or riding as quickly and safely as feasible. I had knee surgery done with him as well as surgery for a broken collarbone. I’ve returned from both 100% without any lingering pain/discomfort. Some people find him abrasive but I kinda like that — he’s upfront and to the point and will tell you when you should not run/ride and when it’s ok to do so. Best of all, he returns email personally and promptly(at 5AM in the morning, no less!). Go see him for anything that’s broken. He’ll fix you up and have a laugh or two with you. His outgoing remark to me was that he likes me but never wants to see me again. I kinda hope for the same!

I’ve seen Dr. K for about 3 years now for knee issues. I like him because he listens, gives you OPTIONS, doesn’t PUSH things on you and advises on future therapy/options. Dr. K performed my knee surgery and has been a great ortho doc for follow-up and future options for my other knee(my legs aren’t straight(genetics)). His super knowledgable and does not recommend unnecessary tests, surgery, meds, etc. He will even go so far as to recommend physical therapy before advising on injections, surgery, etc. He also asks what you prefer and gives the options/possible outcomes with those options. He listens and gives his professional medical option after he hears what’s going on with you. If you get an appointment early in the AM, the docs usually don’t run behind. Catch them mid-day, you may be short and have to wait. The desk always announces when the docs are running behind. You have the option of having a resident come with the doc during your visit. I always say yes because that is the best way to learn.
