Love this place. My go-to lunch/carry-out spot in Anacostia. Delicious comfort food, great breakfast, and very friendly service.

We recently moved offices, and now we’re just a short two minute walk from King’s Café. Lucky me — I seemed to have stumbled across the 2nd jewel of carry out in Anacostia! The food is great. I was surprised and what a variety they have for lunch. The quality is excellent. I never would have imagined I could get lamb gyros at a carry out in Anacostia, but King’s got ‘em, and they’re better than most gyros I’ve had in DC. Huge selection of other items, from spaghetti, salads, fresh fruit, to burgers, chinese, and fried chicken. Chocolate milk, mango slushies, pepsi products, you name it — King’s has got it. Plus, the service is great — the staff are friendly, attentive, and quick. The lady behind the counter always asks me what country I’m from… which is probably the highest form of flattery in my book, so she’s a keeper. Yay for King’s!
