Was here for a birthday party and got to forego the cover charge. Walked in and honestly feel like most of the women were prostitutes and the men were significantly older. I’d never seen desperation so open in public. I’m also allergic to alcohol and ordered a glass of OJ and was charged $ 17.00 Not surprising I left shortly after.

Absolutely garbage! The service here is the worst. They’re extremely rude and mean staff. It takes forever to get in. And then they kick people out just for using the bar. We literally rented out the place and then they kicked out half of our guests just for using the bar. I would recommend against ever using this for events, it’s probably one of the worst places I’ve hosted an event.

I gave 2 stars because I have HAD good experiences in the past there — however as other Unilocal-ers have commented, the place has seen better days. Have been here a handful of times before — nothing extremely special as far as a lounges goes — but also no bad memories of times there. Always thought of it as a decent place to relax and chat with friends after a good dinner… UNTILLASTNIGHT. We went there after a lovely dinner at Fiola Mare for some drinks and dancing to help celebrate a friends birthday. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was very different — but it had been a long time since having been there, so chalked it up to an off Saturday evening. The music was all house/techno and absolutely not budging at all. I spoke to the DJ to see if she could play something else(for the 10 ladies that were with us and others that were not dancing) but she said she could not — and fair enough, if she didn’t have other music in her collection I completely understand. All DJ’s have their specialties, I get it. I went back to my group, and then decided to go back and at least ask if she could give a shout out to my friend for her birthday as we were out celebrating with her, and her«manager» blocked like nothing I’ve ever seen before — as if she were untouchable. Further in the evening the then proceeded to get really nasty with another member of our group, THEN told the birthday girl to «go fuck yourself». Real professional. I tell you what Omar Madrid of Crescendo Music Media — #CrescendoMM your mannerisms are horrible — and regardless of what you’re used to, in this arena you have to maintain yourself better. #DJSabeelChohan you were lovely, your manager however doesn’t do you justice. Him telling people what he did and acting in that manner last night was appalling. You can do better. Then when I asked to speak with the manager of L2 multiple times, J — one of the bartenders, completely disregarded my request and continued assisting others. So, as I grabbed my coat and left the establishment, I asked the door-lady and she said that many times the manager is not there. WHATMANAGERISNOTTHEREON A SATURDAYNIGHT. Bottom line — if you want disrespectful shoddy service by people who feel they are above you while you pay top dollar for their drinks and sub-par service while watching old men there with their young-enough-to-be-their-daughters dates, then L2 probably is for you! Unfortunately, it’s not my thing. To L2 Management, the entertainers and staff you allow to work in your establishment speaks VOLUMES about how you operate as a whole. If someone asks to speak to the manager and one is not available, it is then customary for someone to take their information and have one contact them the next day to resolve any potential issues — not ignore them and continue serving other guests.

Never seen any business treating anyone worse. This Lady at the door was hostile and lackd any manner. I believe she said her name was filomena. Trying to pick up fights with customers for no reason. We filled the place with friends, caused no problem and we were treated with the least of respects. A place that seems to be run by BULLIES. Wow Do NoT go there.

The four of us decided to stop by this lounge for a few drinks. It has a very sexy atmosphere with dim lighting, exposed brick and sleek furnishings. We ordered our cocktails, the mini sliders and meat/cheese board which were ok but took about thirty minutes to arrive. Had there been more than five others in the establishment, that would have been more than acceptable. But since there weren’t, it wasnt. During the delay we questioned our server to which she replied that they were waiting for ingredients from next door. Peculiar, but no fuss was made. It took us another act of Congress to get the check. It seemed like those around us were getting better service. So, we decided to keep the party moving. Overall it was OK but definitely not worth a return visit.

I’ve been a member since the beginning. It’s not a members only venue anymore, and the quality is not the same but I still like to check it out once in a while. Good manager.

$ 36 for 2 Long Island Ice Teas! Awful, bartenders up charge here. I’ve never seen a glass so skinny… The venue is nice, and the music is so so. Lol people don’t really do a lot of dancing here.

Great place, highly recommended for a night out on the town. The privacy of tables allows some one-on-one time with a group of friends and the DJ/bar areas allow for plenty of space to socialize and mingle in style.

the place is awesome. Hanged out there few times, and then decided to get membership. It has great advantages for people who are doing often events, galas etc… The Manager, Oscar is great guy always warm and welcoming. Atmosphere is always good, music is great and drinks are unique.

My first time here was for a fundraiser and the second time and most recent I went there for a birthday party and didn’t have to pay the entrance fee which I hear is $ 20. That’s a bit much for my taste. I will admit they make some good drinks. Since we were having a special occassion they were able to bring back our hot butter rum cocktail. Which is AMAZING… and sadly not on the menu. Sorry folks. Pretty much all the drinks that I sampled and the drinks that I drank were all fantastic. The only place that I would say contend with this place at cocktail quality level would be POV. The inside can get a bit crowded, but I guess the night we were there it was 1230 and the place was still empty. Which was fine by us since that gave us plenty of room to dance, and the DJ was kind enough to take requests. I like a DJ’s that take requests :) I would frequent this place more if the drinks weren’t so high priced.

Very nice atmosphere the bartenders and staffs are polite. The food and drinks were a little overpriced, but the quality of it was worth it !

Went here on Saturday night to celebrate a birtday. The place is hidden behind Leopold’s café and has no sign or any other indication what it is. The only clue are the milky white glass doors and a bouncer. Inside it is your common run of the mill miami style lounge with milky lighted bars and unfinished walls. One thing that struck me was how uncomfortable the seats were. When the seats are soft and tables are on the same plane as seats it’s quite uncomfortable to seat and drink. I was forced to stand. The drinks are definitelt overpriced and they were out of half of the food on the menu. It’s definitely not worth $ 10 cover. It was half empty except for a couple of parties celebrating events. Don’t waste your time!

The place was very nicely decorated. Has two bars which are spread out so theres no crowding around the bar. The drinks are waaaayyyy too expensive and their sound system can use steroids to get up to par with real club sound. Staff was courteous and of good presence. DJ was 5⁄10 barely a pro.

Cheese-factor at 1000% and cliché interior with the all white furniture and purple lighting. You are not a LA club so stop trying. Ugh. These places are so played out DC.

I was here with a group and the organizer was able to waive the cover charge. It was a very trendy spot. It had nice artwork, large bar, white couches, a decent sized dance floor. The place is not gigantic, but good enough. It was not super crowded either, so that made it a huge plus. They played mostly house music. It would have been good if they had more of a mix, but it was still cool. The drinks were pricey though, about $ 20.

Got in for a meet up group activity so I didn’t need to pay the pricey cover and not sure I ever will but I liked the place. Good drinks, trendy Sex and the City atmosphere. Not overly packed which I like. I had a good time.

Brought our mom here for the Mother’s Day pampering event. The event was absolutely fabulous! For $ 15 we got full face makeovers from YSL, hair styling, manicures, and massages. There were a couple of other vendors there as well and we left with lots of great samples and other swag. The décor at L2 is cute and chic. I like that the areas are divided a bit and not just one big space. Gives everyone the VIP experience. The DJ for the event was good. Drinks were good, but expensive. $ 90 for 6 drinks(wine and bellinis) is a lot in my opinion. All in all a good experience

In a effort to branch out and become more hip and diverse, I found myself knee deep in hipster action sipping 15 dollar martinis whilst admiring the fashion models that pranced around me. Just to be clear, I came here in support of a friend who was modeling in a private showcase of a designer friend. So tucked away in the back ally off of Georgetown’s M Street, you will find this small lounge guarded by what seemed like a team of secret service rejects. Why is it that the smaller the club the more security guards with those curly ear pieces and suits 2 sizes to small, that feel the need to do cavity searches on everyone that walks through the door? Anyways, the event was cool. I have never been to a Fashion show and I was happy to see my friend walk down the Runway in designer sheik clothing that has no earthly purpose in everyday life. Still that didn’t stop me from admiring the hot models at every turn. Strut… Strut…Pause…Stare…Turn…Turn…Strut…Strut and repeat. I don’t think I got a fair assessment of this place in the short time frame I was there. Even so I didn’t see anything overly outrageous that made me think… Maybe I should put on my designer jeans and spray myself down with Acqua Di Gio, slick my hair back and make my way to «L2 Lounge» for a night out with the ladies! Maybe if I find myself in Georgetown with nothing better to do, Ill consider making an appearance… thats right, im that popular that I feel the need to make appearances. Jealous? Your call, give it a shot, or stick to K street for all your Saturday night clubbing and lounge extravaganza’s.

Came here for a big birthday party and it was pretty much what I expected, loungey, trendy, but surprisingly not as bougie as I thought. The crowd was good and the bartenders were friendly and the mojitos are REALLY good. Parking sucks, but that is expected in Georgetown, especially when this place is literally in an alley. I read about the membership fee/outrageous cover charge, but I guess since I went there for a birthday(in which we had a table) they didn’t charge the guests cover.
