Cool ambiance and decent food. Service was great(it was not busy when I went at 10:3am). Had the veggie egg wrap and it was tasty.

Don’t go!!! I only stop by here because I work near by but it is always dirty and the service is terrible. Today though I stopped in and was just going to order eggs with a English muffin. I don’t eat meat so I asked if there was difference in price $ 8 for a breakfast sandwich with just egg seemed a bit much. The waiter said no so I ordered just a side of eggs with toast. He then went to the kitchen and started complaining about me and if I don’t have money I shouldn’t come out to eat and if i have questions to read the menu. They forgot to turn on the radio in the dinning area so the entire conversation between the waiter and the cook was heard through out. Usually the waiters are arguing with each other when I’m here which is always annoying but it was just one of those times I thought I’d give it one more try. But it greatly failed per usual and they don’t have to worry about me asking any more questions.

Is this place under new management or something? It used to be one of my favorites when I lived in the neighborhood, but I doubt I’ll make the effort to come back again. I waited to be seated, per the sign, but got sick of being noticed in a near-empty restaurant so just sat myself. I waited another 10 minutes to be noticed at my table, which only happened when I got up to leave. The server took my order without writing it down and had to ask twice to clarify he got it right(a simple omelet with three ingredients).(Side rant: WHY don’t servers write stuff down?!? It’s not impressive if you’re going to screw up the order.) Of course the wrong omelet came out — over cooked too. I sent it back. Another 15 minutes goes by before the right omelet comes out — still over cooked. Total time in empty restaurant before getting meal = 45 minutes. Not worth the time or money for a crappy omelet.

Nice solid brunch place in Dupont– it was consistently full in there, so I guess the word is out! A no frills diner with classic Mexican-Americana brunch dishes, sweet brunch dishes like pancakes and French toast, they had great service and good food. I had sunny side up eggs with toast and a sweet potato chorizo hash. Very simple yet filling and delicious!- i loved sopping up the runny yolks with my toast and combining it with my hash.

My husband, sister-in-law, and I were looking for somewhere to have breakfast in DC on Christmas Day. After walking around and searching unsuccessfully, we stumbled upon Luna café. We ordered omelettes and waited for our food. The eggs were greasy and the food did not seem fresh at all! The guacamole on my husband’s omelette was grey and looked like it was at least two days old. Moral of the story: only come here in desperation or find a Starbucks!

I’m sitting in the restaurant now and while the tomato soup is AMAZING I had to practically stand and walk to the bar to get someone’s attention. There are exactly 3 tables with people and that includes mine… but still no service and my food was like warm when it came out. I may have to rethink returning to this place.

I went to Luna Grill on October 30th. My friend and I were seated by the window for a great evening view of Connecticut and to see the Halloween revelers and their costumes. I ordered an Irish coffee but their bartender was not there that night, which I have to take half a star for. However, our server made us the drink without much hassle and she even remade the drink cause of too much whip and the drink wasnt hot. I ordered the Reuben which was refreshingly simple and delicious. Halfway into our meal, Alexandra the owner came up and asked us how our meal was. She is a wonderful hostess and we had a great chat with her. After we talked, I tried her tomato soup which was hot and tasty. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner in Dupont Circle. Also, this review should be 4.5 stars, but Unilocal doesn’t allow half stars, so there it is!

The food was decent. Dinner one night was the meatloaf plate. Usually a diner will over-ketchup the meat but not this place. Gravy was good. A little too light on the veggie portion. More like a spinach garnish. Breakfast the next day was good. A standard diner fare. The décor was odd. At first, stepping in I thought it was a speakeasy. Very dark. The décor is cracking around the edges, and the tables are worn, but in a suspicious way. The waitstaff seemed like there were better things to do than wait on us. Not happy people. At all. But the food is good.

I thoroughly enjoyed my brunch here. I ordered the eggs benedict with crab cakes, and it was delicious. Eggs were cooked perfectly, very flavorful, and the crab cakes were tasty. The dishes my three friends ordered also looked nice. The restaurant is very cozy with home drawn pictures on the wall. My only complaint is that it could use a little love — the bathroom for example is one I’d avoid if possible(something I wouldn’t expect for a good restaurant).

The Spanish waitress was VERY rude! For the first time ever, I had to stiff a waiter on the bill. However, the food was pretty good.

This is such a memorable and wonderful experience. The delicious and flavorful food is only out shined by the friendly staff and whimsical artwork that decorates every inch of this establishment. My best friend and I stumbled upon this place, and had to come back before we left to NY, and had the warmest welcome with our waited, Medde. We are sure to visit again while we visit DC in the future. We love you guys!!!

They messed up our order, bringing out the wrong meal for one person and no meal for another. It then took them 30 minutes to finally bring out the dishes they forgot. The manager apologized and gave us a discount, but he charged us for the original mistaken order, resulting in more frustration. The eggs Benedict was good, but most of the people in our 7 person group did not enjoy their food.

This was the first place my friends and I ate at while we stayed in DC. This is a pretty nice diner. I didn’t really know the theme based on the décor. I guess it’s just up to your imagination. The menu had a few good options to choice from but nothing to exotic which was what I wanted so bummer. I ended up going for the two eggs breakfast plate with bacon and home fries. It was a good dish overall and the servers were really nice to us.

Not on my return list to come back!!!’ My child loved the grilled cheese but I did not like the pulled pork not the tomato soup very disappointed! I would skip this place. However the sweet potato fries were very good. Also had the nachos and they were not good at all. My pulled pork was chicks not pulled and too much BBQ sauce. I had the cocktail called 8 deadly sins and did not finish it !!! Next time I will just keep walking… Wish I could get my money back.

After a grueling red eye flight, the eggs benedict(ft. steak) cured both hunger and fatigue. My friends and I were seated and served right away, despite our arrival being at the prime time of «Sunday brunch». Overall, delicious food(with generous servings), friendly service, and convenient location.

I’ve been to this place several times over the yrs. for brunch/lunch/dinner & it remains a solid choice in my book! I remember always enjoying the food I ordered — french toast w/home fries, being the most recent choice — which was delish! Unfortunately, I have to dock them 1 star because of service — our server wasn’t very attentive this time. We were always looking around for him and had to ask another server to get him at one pt, just so we could place our order. We also had to flag him down to take care of the check! Otherwise/food wise though, this remains a great place to eat! Also FYI — this place doesn’t take reservations and can get pretty busy, so allow for some wait time during peak times!

I love this place even more now. The steak Benedict is amazing, and so is the tomato and artichoke Benedict. Since I don’t live in DC I will be imitating both at home… I’ll be back! And the fruit was fresh…

Met up with some friends for an evening out, we ordered a chicken panini and my boyfriend got the chicken and waffles. We like to ask the wait staff for their opinion on what we should order, unfortunately our waitress didn’t seem to know the menu that well. All I can say is it wasn’t awful. I remember the sandwich was passing, the chicken and waffles came with chicken strips, not whole pieces of chicken. I don’t believe we would go back.

After a recommendation from a fellow Unilocaler I decided to try this place out for brunch. I was very disappointed. Food presentation and the atmosphere was unique but the flavor was not there. Omelette was mostly egg and cheese on top, not much inside. The eggs Benedict was over cooked(see picture), the crab meat was decent but nothing special.

Cute and cozy little diner with a wide selection of food. We came for brunch and ordered the salmon Benedict and the chicken and waffles with a side of eggs. The Benedict was good but the eggs were too runny. It came with a generous portion of breakfast potatoes. The chicken and waffles seemed like something you could make at home if you bought frozen chicken tenders from the grocery store and had a waffle maker. If chicken and waffles is your thing, go to GBD a couple doors down or try something different at Luna. Would like to come back for lunch or dinner, everything we saw that came out looked delicious!
