M & J Temporary Walls

Mike showed up on time the day he built the wall and bookcase. It took about 8 hours and he needed to come back to put in the door handles and finish up the bookcase. He said he’d be back the next Monday at 1pm but never showed up. After many phone calls and texts he finally responded and said he ran late Monday and couldn’t make it and said he could be there Wednesday at 11am but again never showed up. Now he’s ignoring my phone calls and texts. Regardless of his inability to finish the job just take a look at the pictures of the bookcase. It is crooked and uneven. Since he built the bookcase the main engineer in my building and the main contractor who built most of the building both said it was one of the most poorly constructed bookcases they have ever seen. STAY AWAY!

We used M&J Temporary Walls to section off our living room and turn a 2 bedroom apartment into a 3 bedroom.
Mike was very quick to respond to our request and we got our wall built within 3 days of the initial request. The work was quick and the wall looks great — you can barely tell that it wasn’t part of the apartment already. This is exactly what we were expecting and more!

I’m still in awe of how this temporary wall turned out. Was expecting a flimsy vinyl installation like I had seen online from various other NYC-​based companies, but Mike came in and created a new room that looks as if it belongs in the space. We chose to install a pressurized wall to accommodate an extra roommate (as is common in DC!) in the extra space in our living room. The «bedroom» that Mike created is complete with a door, floorboards, is painted, and does a better-​than-​expected job of soundproofing! Inflicted no damage to the existing space, so our landlord will be happy! Would definitely recommend to anyone needing this service.

Mike Robinson did a great job putting up our temporary pressurized wall. Much cheaper than NYC companies and very professional. In and out in about 6.5−7 hours (it was a large project). Can’t even tell this wall is temporary — floorboards, full door, fully primed, etc. He was a recommendation from a friend and I would definitely use him again.
