There is a sign outside that tells you Macaron Bee is located inside of Lady Camellia and if you going during their tea service you’ll feel like you’re lost. I had to call from outside to double check if I got the right address. The space is extremely tight, especially during tea service and you’ll have to slip by the tea sippers. Once I made my way back I made my selections. My favorite was the salted caramel macaron, It’s perfection, right amount of sweetness balanced with the salted caramel. I wished I ordered more. The chocolate macaron was also lovely, but I felt the salted caramel macaron had more depth of flavor. I’m happy to say I do love their macaron and they are not overly sweet like other macarons that you may find in the area. Must stop for your fixing of macarons.

Impulsively purchasing a dozen macarons sometimes doesn’t necessarily lead to catastrophic repercussions. After a mind-numbing library session on campus, I walked to Macaron Bee and decided to get all of the flavors — there were conveniently 12 of them — for myself. I managed to consume them all within 6 days, and don’t really regret the decision. Overall the macarons are good. Some better than others. I like crispy outer shells with soft and not overly sweet cream inside. The flavors are a decent selection, but not impressively innovative: vanilla bean, pistachio, fleur de sel caramel, rose, pink champagne, milk chocolate earl grey, lavender, almond, sakura, gianduja, coconut, and lemon. The dozen I tasted were generally good, although some were a bit too sweet or soggy. There’s also no discount for buying a whole box versus one or two. The place is inside Lady Camellia and is really just a counter in the back of the tearoom. The tearoom itself is compact enough, and the counter is really plain-looking like a convenience store. I’m not sure whether you can just buy the macarons from Macaron Bee and be seated there, so only prepare for takeout.

My go to place to pick up a few macaroons and stroll through Georgetown. I stopped by today, I was in a rush and called ahead and placed two different orders and when I got to the store I changed one of the orders, I’m thankful Arielle was in the store because she was super patient and accommodated me and all my crazy demands.

They have the best macaroons ever! They taste so much better than Olivia and they’re cheaper. I would definitely come back here for them delicious macaroons!

Probably the best macarons I ever had. The cashier working at the front was very nice and patient while she went over all her recommendations. The owner was very polite and helpful. I left satisfied and I WILL be back for another box!

They moved to this new location and now have a small café. I was waiting in the foyer area for several minutes and even made eye contact with a couple of the servers so they knew I was there. Didn’t even acknowledge me or let me know they’d be with me in a minute. The phone rang several times while I was there. No one picked it up. If you can’t be bothered to acknowledge a customer, then I can’t be bothered to give you my money.

I went to Macaron Bee to get something for my homesick french hubby and this was just the ticket! I have had some really amazing macarons in France and these are right up there. I will be back, but this time I am getting the 24 count. My favorite was the lemon and pistachio. Perfectly chewy in the middle, the filling wasn’t overpowering or overly sweet and the perfect crunch on the outside.

The macaroon is the best in Georgetown. Many traditional and innovative flavored, tastes really good!
