Dr. Marilyn Corder is, without a doubt, the most caring, competent, capable, and responsive physician we’ve ever had the privilege of seeing. We couldn’t ask for a better pediatrician for our child, and we’ve even continued seeing Dr. Corder even after moving almost an hour away from her NW DC practice.
Dr. Corder is both experienced and knowledgeable, and she is actively involved in her professional community. She seems to work tirelessly to improve the health of the population, not just the health of the patients in her practice.
In addition to her exceptional knowledge and medical skill, what really sets Dr. Corder apart is how she interacts and works with her patients and their families. She takes the time to get to know her patients’ parents, including what kind of people – and parents – they are, and we feel like she tailors care to us, specifically. We briefly considered a different pediatrician for our next child, but while visiting a different practice than Dr. Corder’s, we were appalled when one of the «benefits» that was offered to us was that the doctor didn’t even need to learn our names because he could simply «look it up, right there in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).» Dr. Corder, in contrast, knows exactly who I am and who my child is when she gets a message from me.
Dr. Corder also treats the «whole person,» not just the medical issue that presents. My child has described Dr. Corder as both «my friend» and «my fixer.» Going to see Dr. Corder is both a treat for my child and a relief and pleasure for us as parents.
Without any hesitation, I absolutely recommend Dr. Corder to every parent who is seeking a wonderful physician and partner in their child’s health.
