I can’t recommend Mitch and his team enough. They arrived right on time, were extremely careful with my furniture and boxes, and got the entire job done in 2 hours. They made my move incredibly simple and stress-​free, to which I am very grateful. Professional, timely, and reasonably priced — I will absolutely use them for my next move.

I’ve used mitch the mover two times now and have found them to be excellent. Communication prior to moving was excellent. Mitch responded to all of my questions in detail. Both times they arrived early and were very careful with my things. The pricing and time spent was reasonable. The movers were all really nice and friendly as well. I highly recommend using Mitch as a mover.

I just moved over the weekend and was incredibly happy with Mitch and his team. I contacted him about three weeks ago, and he responded same-​day and was available on the date I requested. For a one bedroom apartment, I have a LOT of [very heavy] stuff, but everything went smoothly. Mitch actually arrived about 30 minutes early (which is great, in my opinion — let’s get this whole thing over with). Two men helped him, and the entire process took just over three hours from start to finish. My new apartment has a super narrow front door, which I thought might be a problem (especially for the full-​size Restoration Hardware sleeper sofa…) but they made it work with no complaints and, more importantly, no damage to my furniture.
I was very pleased with their work and found their pricing to be transparent and reasonable. I also appreciated that Mitch accepts credit cards.

From the outset, Mitch was so helpful. He was prompt and responsive, even with a rather last minute request other companies couldn’t accommodate. He sent a confirmation letter with details which was helpful! Day of the move, I was making a long drive to DC and he checked in to make sure I was okay and arriving on time. I actually arrived early and he was there early and scouted out a great spot for my uhaul. He and Juan took care of everything from start to finish. I had no worries whatsoever and they were so professional, kind and speedy. Highly recommend (I never write Unilocal reviews but had to do so right away they were so great!). I don’t want to move anytime soon but if I do, I’m calling them!

I moved the first week of November from an apartment near Howard University to Tenleytown and used Mitch the Mover. The company and crew are excellent. They showed up early, were efficient and took care of things without a problem. KC and Jose were the lead movers for my move and were friendly and accommodating. Also, the pricing can’t be beat!

I had to unearth my long dormant Unilocal account just to give these guys a 5 star review. They were super professional and efficient, and really provided a level of service beyond what I expected.
They showed up to my apartment at 9:30, and by 9:55 had completely loaded the truck and were on their way to my new place — pretty impressive from a crew that’s getting paid by the hour! Everything was moved with care, too — they were a lot more careful with some of my old beat up furniture than I would have been had I been moving it myself.
If you’re looking for a good, cost-​effective mover, then go with Mitch — I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience.

My husband and I just called, the guy had no idea when was the next day available for movings and basically said to us he had no time to talk since we was at work.
At least this people should have somebody available for appointments an who show interest to clients.
This kind of situations don’t give confidence in that the company would take good care of my stuff.

Mitch the Mover was recommended to me by a friend and I was told he and his crew did a great job. He was responsive when I contacted him about a quote. When I initially asked him to provide me with a certificate of insurance his response was «Really? No thanks. I am not interested. Best of luck.» Mitch is not licensed and if any of your items break during the move guess what you are stuck with fixing it!!!

I hired MTM in July based off a friend’s recommendation and I was not disappointed. The guys showed up a few minutes early and got right to work. They handled my stuff with care and were real pros with disassembling and reassembling my furniture. They even worked through lunch despite me encouraging them to take a break. Mitch came by toward the end to check in and handle the payment. I would definitely use these guys again.

I cannot say enough good things about Mitch and his business. We were hesitant to hire movers because we have heard nightmare stories about moving companies in the area. We contacted Mitch and reserved 2 movers for 2 – 3 hours. He quoted us a price that was about average. The service was EXCELLENT – they showed up right on time and worked VERY efficiently. The best part was that they actually showed up with three movers. When we showed them the moving agreement when we paid (which outlined 2 movers) Mitch immediately apologized and only charged us for two movers. It was just that easy. He even rounded down on the time to the closest interval. I highly recommend Mitch – he is simply the best! We will use them again if we move in the area.

Having never hired movers before, I was nervous about what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised! They movers arrived on time and were super efficient and quick to move all our things out of our 1BR apartment. They wrapped everything up really well (even some of our cheap ikea furniture!) I would recommend Mitch the Mover to anyone needing a mover in the DMV.

My boyfriend and I recently moved from a Georgetown 3-​story walk up row house to a modern apartment building in Thomas Circle– Mitch and his team were absolutely great! They showed up right on time, even though we had booked them less than a week in advance. They wrapped all our big items with blankets and bubble wrap and were careful with the TV, antique dresser, mattresses, and other valuable items.
Mitch even called over an extra crew of two other men, which speed up our move at no extra cost. With 4 movers and Mitch we started at 9am and were in our new apartment by 11:30. The move was so incredibly easy, they were responsible, knowledgeable and efficient.
Best of all, there were no extra charges — just the base fee and hourly fee we were quoted. They were excellent and professional and we will definitely be using them again for our next move (hopefully no time soon!) Thanks Mitch and Crew!

On the day of our move, I had an excellent experience.
However, a computer monitor was damaged during the move. After initially agreeing to replace it, Mitch jerked me along for a while before he stopped responding to my contact altogether.
I thought this was a reputable business. I’d like the $ 200 I am owed.

Who is available at the drop of a hat? Mitch the Mover!
I decided to hire movers a short time before moving from Fairfax to Chantilly, and I got the right guys. Although they specialize in small apartment moves, they moved all my furniture into my three level townhome in just two hours. No furniture was harmed, the guys were pleasant and cooperative, and they charged me LESS than the estimate. I was floored.
I applaud Mitch the Mover for hiring friendly guys who are efficient and still careful. They are excellent in tight stairwells and hauled some VERY large furniture without a problem.
I will definitely recommend Mitch to all my friends in the area… and put them in my book of important numbers! When in a pinch, just call Mitch!
