I went here alot when NAVSEA HQ was still located on the yard.
Thursday was fun with karaōke and dancing. It has never been the same since…
I am a plank owner and it gets me extremely cheap beer. As in, I spend 20 dollars and sometimes I forget the night.

You will never come here unless you work at the Washington Navy Yard or visiting the museum ship USS Barry. I’ve never seen this place full and that’s probably because of the restricted access and short operational hours. Otherwise it’s what you might expect from a typical irish bar.
So why the name? Mordecai Booth was a navy yard clerk that was ordered to burn ships and stores to prevent British capture during the war of 1812.
