Native Restorations

I found Stephen L. and Native Restoration through D.C.‘s RiverSmart program. Although my front and backyards were too small to qualify for the city grants, I wanted new landscaping with native plants. I did research and comparison shopping. Stephen was way ahead in expectations, professionalism, and budget. While other recommended vendors had pie in the sky quotes and projects, Stephen took the time to listen to my needs. He drew up a proposal within my budget and immediately opened his schedule to work me in, just days from his quote. He was communicative throughout the process, on time, and delivered beautiful landscaping. I not only recommend Native Restoration, I’ll continue to use Stephen and his team.

As part of the DC RiverSmart Homes, my husband and I were assigned Native Restorations. We couldn’t have been more delighted. Stephen was the consummate professional. He worked with us every step of the way, heard our concerns, likes and dislikes, and reacted according and professionally. Stephen converted our grassy slope into a wildlife haven using bayscaping, and installed a rain garden and certified Monarch Waystation. He delivered the finished product on time and has since checked in periodically, even bringing me more plants. I definitely plan to use Native Restorations in the future.

Stephen L. and his team are the best! They are brilliant, thoughtful group that not only cares about the environment and the plants native to our area, but they are extremely customer centered and personable. I got quotes to turn my backyard, which consisted of my concrete parking pad to grass from others that was exorbitant. We bought a house to have some green space for my son to play outside and after meeting with Stephen, I knew that we would actually be able to make it happen. His prices were very reasonable, he was honest with me, and illustrated his vision for the space beautifully, so I knew exactly how it was going to look. His team actually broke the concrete by hand (sledge hammers), which was amazing to watch how efficient they were.
I was beyond thrilled with the results, so he ended up doing the front yard with landscaping and our rain garden. Now 1yr later, the results are still fantastic. He even to come and check on it a few months ago. Stephen is extremely passionate and committed to what he does.
