Having spent 20 minutes with Dr. Sushner, I can’t decide if he’s a creep or just an old guy with no social skills. He is chatty with a capital C. We practically learned each other’s life story before my exam began. During my exam, he asked routine questions like when was my last cleaning and if I’d ever had braces. However, I was also asked questions such as if I was good kid or a bully and if my parents neglected me as a child. I haven’t been to a dentist in a year but I’m pretty sure those are odd questions. He also recommended I find a rich boyfriend at one point. The cleaning itself could not have lasted more than 10 minutes and I had to pour my own cup of tap water to rinse afterward. I will say that the xray tech was very nice and the receptionist, while a bit grumpy, did hold my appointment since I was 20 minutes late. Also, Dr. Sushner didn’t try to strong-arm me into any extra services, which I appreciated since I’m a poor intern. The lesson of our story is don’t buy Groupon deals for dental services, even if you are broke and don’t have insurance. Wait until you find a job!

i saw him for 2 years. I ended up going with him eventhough he was very expensive but i was a difficult case and all orthodontist wanted to do jaw surgery, and he didn’t. He charges almost 10k. He was honest and said it would not look perfect but showed me a mold of another patient with my issue and i didnt see anything wrong with his teeth. So i went ahead. His bedside manners are really the worse i’ve seen, but he gets the job done and allows you to pay in payments without having to get a loan or a Care Credit card. My teeth did end up looking great. His assistants are amazing and help out. If i could find the same service with good bedside manners i would of gone to someone else. As a women sometimes its too much. I do feel he overcharges for the initial consultation and xrays. really $ 695 and its not covered by insurance. He does put the price on small piece of paper not any official letterhead or anything. Again, my teeth do like amazing.

Very expensive with no invoice. The first examine was simple, then Sushner explained the next step with X-rays, pictures, and a mold of my teeth. That was $ 1350 out of pocket paid that visit and done immediate during the first visit. I regret not thinking about it overnight. The second visit, Sushner reviewed his findings and what he would do. Again, he was ready to do the 7k worth of procedures immediately but I was prepared from last time and said I needed time to think about it. This time the cost was wrote on a sticky note with no breakdown. I called a friend that had braces for crowding and overbite, she only spent around 2k. Sushner did seem very knowledge and his staff was nice.
