Nubian Hueman is one of my favorite stores. The owner (and all other staff) are very personable and kind and always willing to help get another size, help zip zippers and ensure you (the customer) are satisfied.
I’ve been shopping here since the store first opened and have quite a few pieces from a range of designers.
It’s great to sign up for emails and «like» on Facebook to hear about specials and discounts.
Be careful, don’t sleep on an item you love, you may come back in and it’s gone! It’s happened to me! :)

Beautiful store, prints, pieces, access to quite a few items you would normally only be able to find online, nestled in the bustling new Anacostia Arts Center. It’s one of my favorite spots to visit when there. They are often times hosts of awesome events like Sip N Sew (sewing class event) and Gloss Rags pop up shop (online retailer)!
TIPS: Located inside of the Anacostia Arts Center, no plus size items, a bit pricey, men and women fashions and accessories, body butters, etc., stay in contact for fun events.
One star is taken off for the price point and lack of a plus size selection. On this side of town, a skirt for $ 65 and a bar of soap for $ 10 is something you have to wrap your mind around. Not too much to gripe about as we are glad Nubian Hueman is in the neighborhood and glad to support.

What a find! Great small store with lots of unique clothing and jewelry. Fashion you can’t get anywhere else! I have purchased two pairs of earrings there, which I get compliments on all the time.

Eye candy! The store was closed today for an event but the manager let my friend and I browse the store. The store is well kept with an array of designs and patterns from pants to dresses to skirts to head wraps to earrings to clutch purses to shoes. They also sell oils and body butter that smell fantastic. Prices for range from $ 60.00 to $ 200.00. According to the store manager, dry cleaning is recommended but items can be washed in a machine and hung up to line dry.
I’ve made my list and will be visiting again soon!
