Very very cool place! The owners, I believe there were two, were so sweet and eager to assist! The pieces they had were very unique and reasonably priced. This warehouse is definitely off the beaten track but worth the drive if you are visiting. I wished that I had brought a truck to buy some of the furniture pieces!

We love this place. We bought a chair here that everyone loves and that would’ve been $ 800 and up otherwise. I don’t know much of their story, but their shop is gorgeous. So many interesting, obviously carefully chosen pieces to consider, reasonably priced too. I love how they arrange the furniture and items, showing you what’s possible and allowing room to breath between knick knacks. It’s a very fun place to explore. Tons of mid-century modern furniture, which is very exciting to me. You know what’s even cooler about this place? All the artists’ studios in back. They often have open houses when the store is open, and they’re very good and very friendly. A nice way to spend an afternoon.

Wow great spot. Owners Greg and Wendy are great and have nice taste. This is the kind of spot to visit every other month or so.

Are you looking for one-of-a-kind home décor? Spare your wallet from Ikea, and head to Brookland for a warehouse of vintage goodies that’s way more affordable than Anthropologie. Off the Beaten Track is a furniture showroom that’s only open via appointment and the first/last Saturday of every month. If you weren’t lucky enough to inherit some great vintage furniture from your family, then check out this space — it’s basically an urban barn sale, and it’s worth the monthly wait! I’m always interested in seeing what’s new and the founders, Greg Kimball and Wendy Hauenstein, are basically D.C.‘s counterparts to the Novagratz family. The founders also have a great memory; they were able to remember my name as well as my purchase from last year! PS: If you don’t need any furniture, head upstairs! It’s a working art studio for many craftsmen and artists. You will find something worth lugging home.

This place is amazing. I have been trying to find a dresser for months. The problem here was not finding one but picking which one. Prices are reasonable and everything is high quality. We also got a chance to look at some studio and talk to artist. An had some amazing coffee.

Finally made it out here after wanting to visit for over a year! Wasn’t sure at first where the entrance was, but there is a doorbell on the grey doors facing the street that you ring to get in. Once in you’ll find a ton of interesting furniture and art and everything in between. Upstairs there are artist studios, some of which are open to visitors when the warehouse is open. The owner was incredibly friendly and made sure to greet us and say goodbye before we left. Would recommend to anyone looking for some décor or just a cool place with genuine people to explore on a Saturday.

Absolutely my favorite vintage furniture and accessories spot in the area! A treasure trove of quirky, interesting pieces! Reasonable prices and owners are lovely. It’s in the same building with great artist studios and DC’s best ceramic studio — for both wheel and handbuilding classes — ‘District Clay’. There’s also florists and a coffee roaster. All worth checking out! Don’t miss it. It’s the new DC!!!

It really is… off the beaten track. But oh so worth the detour! This is a hidden gem, full of treasures. Prices are reasonable, especially compared to some other places with higher rent and… stuff. The owners are lovely and have great taste. And the building is a sort of small business incubator — grab a cup of fresh roasted coffee while you’re there. You will love this place. Trust.

This is a fantastic store. I went on a weekday and there was literally no one else there. There were so many wonderful things– I would go back just to look around. I thought the prices were reasonable.

Very cool place. Many, many chotchkas of all kinds and places for artists and new businesses. It is way off the beaten track.
