Olivia Macaron is adjacent to Dean and Deluca’s outdoor seating. It’s a nice setup but rather limited in space and it reminds me New York City where they don’t have public bathrooms even for patrons. The macaroons are okay, but definitely not worth writing home about. I must say that know how to make lattes and cappuccinos very well. I usually go here if Baked and Wired coffee bar has a line since it’s a close alternative.

Wow! I LOVE macarons and was extremely impressed with these. I got Blood Orange, Violet Cassis, and Honey Lavender. The Honey Lavender was my favorite and Violet Cassis was definitely strong in flavor and unique. I wish I got more than three because the texture was perfect and it was delicious!

Lavender Honey takes the gold! The shell held when I bit in and the flavor was exceptional as well as the staff.

Such a cute little macaroon shop! I was obsessed with the rose and pistachio. The chocolate wasn’t terrible but not my favorite. But it was fun just getting a bunch of diff flavors and trying them all!

What girl doesn’t love macaroons? These macaroons are great. They have a ton of flavors, and all of them taste great. My favorite ones are the honey lavender and almond. They always look beautiful, and whenever I have had an even to attend lately I have always brought some along, and people are always impressed with them. I have to say I don’t like the rose flavor. It is way too floral for may tastes, but that’s just me, and its called rose-duh. The salted caramel always seems to stick to the bottom of the box because the caramel kind of drips off the macaroon, but it is very tasty. You do have to eat these within 24 – 36 hours of buying them because after a day or so they become very dry, and will crumble a bit when you bite them. This may be a testament to them being very fresh, but I cannot eat more than two at once so buying a box for just myself doesn’t pay off for me.

I spent a summer at Georgetown, and my friend from Milan discovered this place as she fell in love with the Pistachio macaron. I went soon after she brought me home one, and it was delicious. I went and brought all my friends here, and then later my family. I love the Rose, Pistachio, Honey Lavender, and Sea Salt Caramel. Come by, everyone is so friendly and it’s has an adorable ambiance! Cute and classic Georgetown.

I first tried Olivia Macarons when I went to the Taste of DC – they were giving out coupons(15% off total purchase). I totally forgot about the coupon until I was cleaning and found it so I decided to use it during my staycation. The shop is close to Dean & Deluca but they have an easel right up front. They have a cutely decorated store window and they have an accent wall with macarons. I decided to get their 7 for $ 16 which came up to about $ 14 and change after my discount. I got pistachio, honey lavender, two salted caramels, blood orange, red velvet and champagne. So, I’m disappointed. Their only saving grace was the salted caramel. The blood orange was the worst, pretty much no flavor at all, the champagne was too sweet, I doubt cream cheese was used for the red velvet – if so, I couldn’t taste it, the pistachio just crumbled as a took a bite and the lavender was okay, just okay. I’m giving this place three stars because of the decorations and the service, the employee was friendly and helpful.

The texture of the macarons here were a bit too crunchy for my liking and a tad too sweet for me, compared to other places in the vicinity. The store front is beautiful and the ladies were really helpful and nice but the macarons was a no for me.

Having had some pretty amazing macarons in my time, I have to say that the ones at Olivia were a bit disappointing today. The good part was the soft, chewy center, a fudgy chocolate with nice texture and flavor. The not-so-good part was the shell, whose rather large air pockets made for a shell that just collapsed, making for a less-than-ideal texture and mouth feel(somewhat grainy). Perhaps it was just the luck of the draw with this particular batch. I also ordered a décaf Americano, and while I was looking forward to a good, flavorful cup of Intelligentsia coffee, I ended up tossing the coffee into the bin by the time I made it back onto M Street, as what I was served tasted more like a very dilute coffee-flavored cup of hot water than what an Americano should actually taste like. The person who made my coffee obviously got the proportions for an Americano woefully wrong, either by not using enough espresso or by using too much hot water. It looks like Olivia could really use a true, well-trained barista behind the counter.

Georgetown is full of so many amazing spots, and Olivia Macaron was one of those amazing spots. I’ve tried many good macarons, but nothing as good as I had here. I bought several(raspberry, rose, red velvet, chocolate, salted caramel, lavender, champagne). These are just as I imagine macarons should be. A firm shell on the outside that crumbles into your mouth with so little resistance, and then the soft, chewy inside of the macaron is the second stage. The flavor starts small and ends big. It’s like velvet flavor explosions in your mouth. My favorites were the raspberry and the salted caramel. At $ 2.50 apiece, they are a bargain to be able to enjoy a little bit of heaven.

Olivia’s is my favorite place to splurge. Their macarons are delicious, never hollow, always stocked up, and 100% worth the price. The service is always great. Everyone is friendly and no one gives me a hard time for hanging around to get the perfect lighting for my Instagram they even suggested a good spot! Their marble countertops are so perfect. My absolute FAVORITE is the salted caramel. I can’t come here and not order at least one(if not more). I also really enjoyed the fruity pebbles flavor! They’re really all incredibly delicious. The only possible downside is the price, but it’s not outrageous and you get what you pay for — incredible, delicious macarons.

I came across this little gem when I was leaving Dean and Deluca. This cute little quiet shop right in the busy Georgetown area was the perfect getaway. I am a huge fan of macarons! I’ve had good macarons and bad ones, but the ones from Olivia were fantastic. There was such a variety of flavors I had a hard time choosing. I love how they rotate their flavors and how they have so many to choose from. I chose vanilla, salted caramel, grey tea, pistachio, pumpkin spice, red velvet, and fruity pebble. They were the perfect combination of crunchy, chewy, soft and moist, creamy and sweet. The cream filling between each one was the best part too, it was slightly cool with a nice whipped texture. Most of the time places have macarons that taste very similar but these were all completely unique in flavor. With these my tastebuds went crazy with each bite. I drool just thinking about them. The best macarons I’ve tried thus far and I will definitely be back!

Awesome macaron shop tucked away in the alley near Dean & DeLuca. They have a wide variety of flavors that are unusual and fresh. I ended up indulging and spending way more that I originally intended. The pretty array was just too tempting! The macarons were perfect; chewy, colorful and true to each flavor. After trying these it just confirmed that these are my favorite pastries for a reason. Coming back for sure!

Came here for a sweet treat with a few of my friends after enjoying brunch. This is a great place to go to with a date or significant other. It’s located in a little alley in Georgetown, just a couple blocks away from the waterfront. The store is cute and has a nice atmosphere about it. Very simple and elegant. I decided to go with the Red Velvet macaroon. It was soft and sweet, but not too sweet! I really enjoyed it and it perfectly satisfied my sweet tooth. The flavor was perfect with each and every bite. I also enjoyed the fact that my macaroon was a little cold. For the price of one macaroon at $ 2.50, I thought it was reasonable. They have a plethora flavors and a few rotating flavors that are unique and tasty. I recommend stopping by if you want something small and sweet!

I finally got to try Olivia macarons after hearing good things about it. However, I wasn’t all that impressed. The décor of the store is cute. It’s located right across from Dean & Deluca so it’s easy to spot. Prices are pretty decent here. $ 2.2 for one macaron and $ 15 for 7. The flavors are good but I wasn’t a fan of the texture/consistency of the macarons. I prefer my macarons to be a little more chewy. These are a bit more crumbly. The rose, grey lady, and pistachio flavors are good but I wouldn’t drive all the way to Georgetown just for these. It’s worth a try if you’ve never been here.

Gonna keep this baby short and sweet. The flavors they advertise, taste like they’re advertised. Great concentrated flavors. Example: Honey Lavender. Put it in your mouth and you’d think you straight up ate that flower with some blossom honey. Coffee. You’d think you just drank yoself a cup of joe. Delicate exterior with good feet. Perfectly baked, not too chewy. Good soft bite. Good size, roughly a little over 1.25″ in diameter.

A nice hot and humid spring day led me to Olivia Macaron where I sunk my teeth right into a red velvet macaron. The exterior was perfect but what made it even better than perfect was the nice and cool center of the macaron(likely from the air conditioning). I would put this on par with every other high quality macaron I’ve ever had. Combo a macaron with a cold brew or cup of joe and you are good to go. Perfect location as well with small outdoor tables.

Macarons — oh, you pretty little sweets that cause huge holes in my wallet. Olivia Macaron has the cutest storefront ever. With beautiful art on the walls, you’d think you walked into a little French coffee shop. The macaron display is definitely Instagram-worthy! — 7 macarons: $ 14 — 14 macarons: $ 27 — 28 macarons: $ 54 With 13 signature flavors and new monthly flavors, you’d have a hard time picking which ones you want to buy. Their packaging(boxes and ribbons!) are very chic, so these make the perfect gift!

Unilocal doesn’t do half because I really want to give this place 2.5 stars. My friend and I were super excited to try this place out since we heard so many great things about their macarons. This place is definitely fancy for macarons. They have tons of different flavors in all different pretty colors. Although the looks itself make them look yummy, I’ve had better macarons. The outer shells break very easily. Just a tiny bite, the whole thing turns into crump. The filling is creamy but not flavorful. Their«champagne» and«Rose» taste like normal sweet cream, nothing special. I really want to like this place, but for their price, I don’t think it’s worth it at all. The overprice probably go toward all the packaging. It is a cute little shop though.

Lady Grey(earl grey) macaron is probably the best macaron I’ve ever had. So delectable and tastes just like milk tea! These macarons are the most delicate and airy ones I’ve tried. Lightly crisp on the outside, perfectly soft and melt-in-your-mouth good on the inside. I can’t say that every one of their flavors comes out well, but the incredibly delicate texture and the outstanding Lady Grey seal the deal for me. I also recommend their red velvet, almond, and coconut flavors as well. Prices are pretty standard(7 for $ 14 and 14 for $ 25) but their macarons seem a teensy bit bigger than most! I’m definitely obsessed, especially with the Lady Grey, and can’t wait to grab another box. Located next to Dean and Deluca!
