This coffee shop closed for good on October 1, 2011. The owners said they don’t plan on opening up elsewhere. It was a good basic coffee shop.

Yes I am a fan! When I need coffee, this is the place. As mentioned in prior reviews, the Promenade is undergoing renovations, but this place is worth the walk past all of the construction.

While hidden among the less improved portion of the Promenade, you need to seek this coffee stop out. The ladies behind the counter are efficient and know what they’re doing, and the coffee tastes great. If you’re going for drip coffee, pour it before you get in line to keep things moving, else order that fancy vanilla chai latte for yourself.

Every other day I like to treat myself to coffee here. I usually go for the light Sumatra or Columbian medium roast. They have a whole arsenal of espressos, coffee and pastries to match Starbucks. Come to think of it, I like this place better than Starbucks. Anyway, I don’t know who makes their pastries but my favorites are the chocolate chip scone, the chocolate chocolate chip muffin, and the chocolate filled(dam, I don’t know what it is, but it’s filled with chocolate).

Back again! I wanted to check-in on my Unilocal app, but alas, service fail in this underground area! Anywho. Had a tastalicious caramel macchiato during lunch today, since I was kind of sulky about missing my mid-day walk, on account of rain. The baristas are super friendly without being saccharin, which I appreciate!

One of the few gems amongst the abysmal options in the L’efant area. The women behind the counter are always super nice, and their chai tea latte is pretty awesome(I like ‘em sweet, like Starbucks but better). Their portions sizes for drinks are larger than standard(not big gulp proportions, but larger than Sbux). I always go here for a pick me up during the work day, since the people are nice, the service is fast, and their chai is to die for. Support a local business and go to Olympic Espresso!

I work downtown near the U.S. Capitol where there is a depressing dearth of local coffee. I just found this place by accident. I ordered a small americano, and it’s wonderful. The espresso is fresh and frothy! They even have a few airtight jars of single-origin beans. What a relief. I hate Starbucks’ coffee.
