Love this place! Food is delicious. I come here every time I visit family in Maryland. I love my seafood bastilla. Definitely a must try. Awesome place. I heard they have belly dancers at night.

A large open square space on the second floor with dirty floors and barely any seating. The décor was shoddy and the furniture seemed very average — it was almost like they moved some furniture from someone’s basement into the lounge. The place had one couch with a table along the back of the square room on an elevated platform. That was the private table. The lounge was packed with the former 1223 crowd, who were still in search of a new place to call home on the weekends. It really got lucky with the recent 1223 closing. The demographic was very Asian that night. Verdict: Wannabe 1223, but was way crappier and smaller.

Small restaurant, but superior food, excellent service, good entertainment. Great restaurant for birthday celebrations!

When I first walked in, I was really disappointed because the club seemed really small, but that’s actually why I ended up liking it so much. The music they play there is amazing(with a hot sound system) and there’s a lot of lounge space if you do want to end up sitting down. Definitely not the place to go if you’re looking for a lot of eye candy, but I had a good time nonetheless. Floors are nasty, though and I was shoved more than once by a janitor with a mop. kinda rude and awkward. Music also stopped at one point for 30 seconds for no apparent reason. I prefer it to Ultrabar, but it’s definitely a little more chic and low-key. different experiences.

I’ve been to enough bars/clubs to know what’s up. never have i paid this much for drinks to dance on such an incredibly sticky floor. like seriously it was that sticky it was all i could think about. maybe someone just walks around brushing honey on the floor, i’m really not sure but that was sticky icky icky

CliffsNotes: I recently attended Pasha for a happy hour mixer. The space is small with odd platforms that I can only imagine are for go-go dancers. The drink prices(during the day) were tolerable with $ 4 Amstel Light, $ 6 wines, and $ 6 cocktails. What makes Pasha irritating is that they take your drivers license along with your credit card. What makes Pasha interesting is that they give you a coat check tag as your«identification number» when ordering off your tab. Seriously, don’t lose that piece of paper otherwise drinks all around … on you. [Original Visit: March 17, 2010]

Not a fan. Granted, I went to a networking event on St. Patty’s Day and they played bad music. No, do not go. But it’s near Tangy Sweet, so 1 star.

Minimum Age: 21+. Cost: ?. Crowd: Mixed, 20’s. Dress Code: ?. Music: Hip-Hop. Date Attended: 02÷27÷10, Saturday Came for a birthday party and needless to say this place disappointed. We got a wristband to go to the 2nd level, nothing special there. The music wasn’t that good. The dj stopped the music once. There was an M.C. talking the whole time. Seriously, I don’t need someone walking the crowd giving a commentary. The place was empty. There are some reviews stating that there are a lot of Asian people here. On this particular night, it was ½ African American, and then the rest was mixed, Caucasian, Asian, Middle Eastern. No eye candy either. Pros: Got in for free because of the birthday party. Leaving at 1 am. Cons: The place was empty. Music selection wasn’t good. M.C. talked too much. No eye candy.

3 star for«trendy» place to party it up… others calls it «a substitute to the good ol’ 1223 Lounge». but i think 1223 is a bit better. with Pasha only having 2 floors — they can absolutely use more space. definitely a place you’ll see alot of asians(majority). nice vibrant environment and the drinks are well conservatively priced in my opinion… definitely one of my picks to meet up with friends and just enjoy the night… drinks special during happy hours are off the chain! and the music they play can mos def make your badonkadonk shake! lol

its a nice place! love the space! love the look of the whole club. but their drink prices are a little out of control. I also dont like the fact that it was an 18& up club. BOOO. lol. Other than that I thought it was a nice spot to chill with my friends.

If you are younger like as in you just turned 21 yesterday and never clubbed b4, go and have a blast… if you would like a more mature, diverse crowd, try somewhere else… went here with a bunch of girls for a Bachelorette Party and had reserved a table… huge dissapointment. Needless to say, probably won’t go here again.

More asians than you can shake a stick(or your booty) at. I honestly never heard of this place before but a friend invited me to their bday party here. Id say it really was smack dab into the a-ok range. Nothing to write home about, but it wasn’t really bad. Interesting things. There is a pole here: Some of you might look down upon this. I refrain from doing so. It provided mild entertainment but was frequented by too many people who couldn’t dance at all. It’s probably a good thing the girls up there didnt do that sort of thing for a living because they’d definitely be going hungry… Music was ok. Was kinda weird at times, but it was mostly ok. I wish the people danced more but it wasnt all that bad. I observed some good dancing and some laughable dancing. I’d have made more of an attempt to dance with girls but I have a girl already so I refrained. Apparently the cover would have been $ 20 and it would not have been worth that ATALL. But… if you get in for free it could be worthwhile. I cant comment on drink prices because I dont drink much and also the people i was with had a table anyways. The sound system could have been better but at least your ears won’t be ringing when you leave. Inside looks decent and seems relatively clean aka not grimey. It’s not anything that you’d be overly impressed with though. basically its A-ok. It’s like 80−85% asian in here so beware of that. If you want more of a mix i’d go somewhere else.

This place is okay. I had a good time when I went here, but I can see it sucking. I don’t see how everyone keeps saying this place is really posh, or fancy. I’ve seen better places, but not in this city. This joint is small, and it got crazy hot too. I would hate to see this place on a summer day. I ordered 5 shots of patron, and the tab came out to be 72 bucks. they added $ 12 bucks to my tab for gratuity. What a load of crap. I don’t know if its 2 bucks per drink, or 12 total, but its not cool. If I was wasted then I probably would have not noticed it at the top of the bill.

This place seems like it has a lot of potential. From its location above Marrakesh, and it’s mostly Arab staff, you’d assume the crowd to resemble a night out on K Street. Not so. In fact, the crowd was predominantly Asian, a pleasant surprise for my persistent yellow fever. The coat check doesn’t open until 11 p.m., which is also the time the cover begins. If you want to check your coat beforehand, check it in Marrakesh. The music was really good: house, mash-ups and very little straight-up Top 40. With the Asian crowd and progressive DJ, I almost thought I had walked into Muse in Chinatown rather than Pasha Lounge on pretentious Dupont Circle. Then I ordered a $ 10 Jack and Coke and remembered where I was. The place is pretty small, but there is an upstairs I didn’t get the chance to venture into. Also, the tables are open as long as they aren’t being serviced. They are your typical three-inches-off-the-ground trendy tables, with the accompanying couch-too-far-from-table setup. Regardless of the necessary awkward trendiness, the staff was very nice, from the doorman to the bartender to the security. The crowd wasn’t big enough, especially for a Friday night, so we decided to pack it up and go elsewhere. Yes we went clubbing at Adams Morgan after, but only because of Jumbo Slice! Like I said, it has potential. I think the change with the most impact to my rating of this place would be simple: just get more people in it, and it’s more exiciting, OK Pasha?

hmm, after reading these reviews, I am beginning to wonder whether I went to the wrong place? but no, it was indeed above the Marrakesh Palace and indeed called Pasha. I just didn’t think it was anything special — just a bar that was dimly lit with a couple brightly colored tables and chairs… and really sticky floors. of course i went for a happy hour — does it glam up during the weekends?

4.0 stars:-)!! Pasha is swanky, cool, and has the feel of a New York City Ultra Lounge with a warm and inviting staff serving killer cocktails. Love this place and I will be sure to hit it again really soon.

It’s incredibly pretty. It’s conveniently posh. It’s the upstairs lounge of Marrakesh Palace. This is one of the lesser known venues in Dupont Circle, probably because it’s on the southside and parking can be a real bitch to get here. Once you’re inside though, the experience will more than make up for your inconveniences. The design is super sophisticated… reminiscent of the Morrocan themed room in Mie n Yie, but much more organized and simple. The music is always befitting to the lounge’s atmosphere and usually catered to the crowd… ranging from both ambiant & minimal house to international music(mostly Arabic and Latin) to top forty. The specialty drinks are fabulously delicious and creative… but g’damn, they can get pricy. Dress to impress, not because the bouncers are jerks about it… but because once you step inside you’ll want to look just as good as the lounge does… and because ladies, it’ll help you score some free drinks. ;P Also, please take note… Do NOT plan to meet up with super large groups here because 50% of your group will give up or end up getting super-far parking… resulting in scuffed up heels, shoes coming off in the dirty streets of DC with all your drunken glory, and incredibly pissy women. That being said, don’t be scared of the sudden phenomenon of 3 am piggy back rides around this side of Dupont. After a good night at Pasha, you too will appreciate its phenomenal nature.
