Went to the Prequel location. Yes the burrito was big, but it was just OK. Just didn’t have enough flavor, even with 3 of their special sauces, and the beans were a little hard/under cooked. However, I would give them another try. Also, the menu didn’t say it but Guac is $ 1.50 extra.

Just went here for the first time today! Actually went to the 918 F Street location where they are inside a restaurant incubator. Nicest customer service I have experienced in a long time and super cheap for a giant burrito. The burrito was pretty good, but what really stood out is the mango sauce. I was skeptical at first but wow it is kind of life changing — a must try!

I could sing Pedro & Vinny’s praises all day long. Delicious food, fantastic customer service, and it’s vegan friendly.

SOMUCHFOOD. So much delicious, tasty food. Look at it. LOOK. It’s about the size of a baby. A small baby, but a baby nonetheless. This burrito(chicken, with guac) is a mere $ 8 and is enough to feed you through dinner. I’m pretty certain it weighs about 4 pounds, that’s how stuffed this thing is. Best is that it’s tasty as all get out — the sauces are amazing. May I recommend their spicy + the green sauces? My only quibble is that the black beans aren’t super soft and smooshy the way I like it. In any case, I’m putting Pedro & Vinny’s on my rotation. And I’m keeping a bag of tortilla chips in my office so I can nosh on this all day long.

thank you Chris! when I’m not in San Francisco, I have to adjust my expectation. especially about Burritos. this time I’d rather not talking about the Burrito itself. because there is very little to talk about. but the lady worked there(Chris) was very cordial and very nice. it’s an Honor System. you make your own change in the jar.

I used to go to P&V’s when I lived in Arlington and when I found out they have a cart in DC I was so excited! I come here a few times a week for wonderful, warm burrito or bowl. They use quality, fresh incredients. The home-made sauces rock! She has hickory, cilantro, peach and the newest and spiciest one is habanero-carrot! You can try any of the sauces with some chips she has out and decide what appeals to you. I never get bored because you can mix and match the sauces. Cash only. Don’t forget your free peppermint patty to clean out your garlic breath:)

Food is really good, with quality ingredients. Great customer service and very energetic. You are bound to leave with a smile, because he puts on a show while making your food. FYI: I think he only accepts cash, but he uses the honor system!

I happily found this burrito cart accidentally when I was looking for a Korean food cart. I got a large chicken burrito for $ 7.25, for which I tipped because the guy was nice/personable, and I appreciated all the sauce and tortilla options. The melted cheese and free York peppermint patties were nice touches. The chicken was a bit plain, and the burrito wasn’t very hot, but it was still a good lunch. There was also a buy 10, get 1 free punch card. Lastly, the honor payment system was simple and a rare, pleasant sighting nowadays.

Talk around my office was that this is THE place to go for lunch. Naturally, I had to check it out. I meandered my way here and started to watch the magic happen. Whoever this burrito man is, he is incredible. He is friendly, funny, and fast. He also just knows what he is doing, which I really appreciate. If I was rating him, he would definitely get 5 stars. I also like the honor system of paying. It’s efficient, and it’s a smart way to get people to over-tip, if they appreciate your service(which you really should with him). I got a chicken burrito on a tomato chili tortilla with rice, lettuce, cucumber, and corn. Plus, I made it a 10 on the spice scale. I did not like the cucumber. It tasted vaguely pickled and ruined the burrito for me. My burrito was also very spicy, which is something that I love. He is very smart in creating special combinations of hot sauce. There was something about one of the sauces that I did not like, though, and all of the hot sauce ended up on one side of the burrito, which made that one side unbelievably hot and the other not so much. Plus, one side ended up extremely soggy then. I would probably put the hot sauce between ingredients to combat this. The lettuce was also not the best quality, and I would probably skip that in the future. If you don’t like tomato, also do not order this tortilla. I am glad I ate outside and not around my coworkers. This thing is unbelievably messy. It’s also extremely cheap, which I appreciate. Overall, I probably would not really go back, which I am sad about. The chicken did not really have any flavor. I would rather have Chipotle. If only he could make my Chipotle burrito. Props to him for what he is doing, though.

A small cart that delivers a HUGE bowl or burrito. I had the chicken bowl(only have chicken or veggie) and it was excellent. They have lots of toppings and are hard core, even make the beans fresh each morning. I had pinto and black beans, cucumber, lettuce, salsa, fresh guacamole, and topped with a little cilantro sauce and and little peach onion salsa. This is a huge and tasty meal, if you aren’t starving two people could almost split a bowl. They’re cash only so bring bills but this place is a deal at about $ 7 for a fresh and tasty lunch.

I used to go by the P&V cart by 15th and K, now I go to the P&V cart by 12th and F since it’s closer to where I work. The woman working there is very friendly and fast, and I really like the honor system for cash payment. Today I got a small(black and tan) burrito with cheese, guacamole, all the veggies, and a combo of the mango and cilantro sauces. Have not tried the chicken, but the stand out from this cart to me has always been the beans and the different sauces. Note that the pinto beans are not refried, just mashed, and that the beans are cooked from dry(not canned) everyday. I skip the rice since the burrito is huge, but even the«small» will send me into a food coma. I would prefer if they used fresh guacamole – and would even pay more for it – but the stuff they use is decent and you really can’t complain at this price point. Also, my burritos(with all of the flavorful sauces) tend to be rather wet, so be sure to grab lots of napkins!

I had a humongous chicken burrito here. I selected the tomato chili tortilla. I had just about everything on it: cheese, chicken, two types of beans, rice, tomato salsa, corn salsa, guacamole, and a few sauces. I asked for 9 on a scale of 10 for the heat. I thought the burrito was excellent. It was spicy but not spicy enough to make my head sweat or trigger hiccups. The operation was unreal. There was a line and only one person, Vinnie?, preparing. He was fast and looking for quick answers to questions about desired toppings to customize the burritos. Customers deposit their money in the cash box and make their own change — cash only. There are some drawbacks. This is just a small food cart parked on the sidewalk. There’s no seating. It was a nice day and I was able to eat the burrito sitting on a bench in McPherson Square. The burrito is messy. Many of the toppings are liquid. The tortilla quickly gets soggy. The burrito was well wrapped in foil so I was able to eat it without too much difficulty. I recommend this cart to anyone who likes burritos. I will certainly go back if I’m in the area.

I have to give this spot 5 stars because the service is so good, and he’s from Jersey. I probably go once a week for a veggie burrito. I love the tortilla options. Everything is super fresh, and I’d like to think relatively healthy depending on what you put in it. I usually eat half and save the rest for the next day because these burritos are large. I usually get black beans, a little rice, a little guac, sour cream, and cheese, fresh salsa, corn, cilantro, and medium spice fruit salsa. I don’t think it tastes as good as Chipotle or Qdoba, but like I said it doesn’t have the same amount of bad for you ingredients, and I like supporting a food truck.

How I heard of this place: While spending the weekend with an old friend and foodie, we were directed towards Pedro & Vinny’s as a perfect spot for our brunch meal: a fresh burrito! Type of cuisine: Huge burritos, made to order. Ambiance: A quaint little shack in the parking lot of a CVS is home to the Pedro & Vinny’s «restaurant». Step inside to order, sit outside in the patio where you can enjoy your meal at the wrought iron tables and chairs. What I ordered: Habanero tortilla stuffed with rice, black beans, ½ chicken and ½ steak, all the vegetables — including a unique cucumber cilantro medley — topped with sour cream, guacamole($ 9.40) and a drizzle of dark brown hot sauce. Our friend and recommender selected similarly, with only steak and the dark brown hot sauce, while my husband went all out with a Garlic & Herb tortilla, and the sweet chili sauce amidst the steak and veggies. What I loved: The mango-habanero sauce, a unique, sweet and spicy treat, as well as all of the little tasting options with a bag of tortilla chips keeping us happy while our burritos were being prepared. Why I loved it: A simple, yet abundant meal shared in an unpretentious setting by a couple of young guys who seem to really enjoy what they do. Cost: Average($ 6.45 — $ 6.95 per burrito)

Was planning on having lunch with the President and Joey Biden but they canceled last minute. Had to deal with some immigration issue. Whatever. Anyhow, we had the best burrito a block away from the White House at this place! Great price and fantastic service. There is a cool honor system when you pay, you make your own change. Also free New York Peppermint patties for dessert. Now these guys know how to run a business! Nice park across the street to chow down. Comfortable wooden benches and conveniently located garbage cans.

A bit of a gem. I would give this place multiple stars if I could. With the surge of food trucks in DC the last few years people(like me) don’t realize that there must have been a first. And here he is. The Burrito Man. His method and attitude is what we would call, too cool for school. My coworkers explained that he has had a following for ages but since the food truck epidemic he has lost some people but the regulars keep coming. I too hope to call my self a regular soon. It is pretty simple. Cash only You choose from the many tortilla available(my favorite is spinach) And then just choose the size(If you get a small you don’t get rice) And all the toppings are complimentary and fresh which includes beans, cheese, salsa etc(except chicken is a little more and guacamole and sour cream are extra) And then my favorite part he asks on a scale from 1 – 10 how spicy do you like your sauce. How did he know? That spice is my kryptonite and if I have anything over then a 3 in the spice scale I go into high pitched complain-y mode. And then ah voila, cheaper then Chipotle and if I dare to say it, tastier. And I would suggest tipping kindly becuase this one man is making your lunch dreams come true

This place is super amazing, and super vegan friendly. I also love that it is not super salty. So many other burrito places are smack-full of salt, and the viscosity of my inner fluids balks at that salinity. This place, no such salt overload, but just flavor. I love that there are choices for the tortillas like regular, spinach, and whole wheat. Awesome, right off the bat. Then, it’s simple — nothing too crazy. Beans, rice, lettuce, corn salsa(new!), cucumbers(new!), salsa, hot sauces and guacamole. Voila — you have lunch in an amazing edible wrapper made just for you. The price can’t be beat, and I love the homage to humanity’s honesty — pay your way, do the math yourself and take change as needed for this cash only jar/box mix of register replacement. The attention to your order and to making you feel like and important customer — awesome. Can’t say this place is cool enough for a little cart! Go early and avoid lines! Worth it though — so cheap and good!

As we chatted today while waiting for the tortilla and cheese to heat up, we decided that our conversation would make a good ad: John: Now that’s a quality burrito right there! Me: That’s why I keep coming back! Anyways, for first timers, all you need to do to order is answer the following questions: Step 1: tortilla type & cheese or no cheese Step 2: «size»(small: no rice, medium: rice, large: lots of rice) Step 3: veggie(or chicken) Step 4: Black and Tan(black and/or refried beans) Step 5: sour cream or guac Step 6: fresh salsa and cilantro Step 7: sauce heat level & fruity/non-fruity Step 8: you make your own change with his wooden box of money. No, no card. Prices are posted on his cart, and the prices are in $ 0.25 increments, so adding shouldn’t be hard. Note: snag some chips and his proprietary salsa while you wait. Also, take a peppermint patty before you leave! I believe boxes(for«burrito bowls») and bags are extra charge.
