Pepco Energy Services

Moved in the area from another county and had Allegheny power. Pepco doesn’t come close. Can even open up an account online, customer service is horrible. This company blows chunks, father U C King horrible

After 4 months of having service techs knocking on my door 2 to 3 time a week, a guy came by today to ask me to join the Energy wise program for about the 60^th time. I couldn’t get to the door as i’m disabled. My friend told him this, and sent him away. A few minutes later I heard banging out by my A/​C unit. I found this guy with a bunch of my wires in one hand and a box in the other. He said he was installing my «new box». I asked him under who’s authority was he doing this, since i did not want or order this. He wouldn’t show me a badge and gave me a name i couldn’t spell, as his english was not good. I got the tag number, and complained to Pepco, but what will be done about this i’m not sure. If he worked for me, he would be looking for a new job, as i’d have fired him on the spot. I f I want service from Pepco, it takes forever to get a response, but this program and their tactics are harassment at least, and vandalism in my opinion. Don’t let these guys do to you what they tried to do to me. I will call the consumer affairs commission to complain. This is ridiculous, and I can’t take their harassment any longer. Sick of answering the door for Pepco. Anyone else have this problem, or am I the only lucky one?

I have lived in many places in the United States and in Japan. I have never had such shitty electrical power service from anyone else but PEPCO. Little things like a thunderstorm, moderate to heavy winds, rain, etc. will cause my power to intermittently go on and off. Last summer’s (June 2012) storm that knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of residents and business in the Washington DC and Montgomery County areas for days is totally unacceptable for a utility company, especially if it is servicing the capitol of the United States of America. It is totally and utterly negligible of the utility company to not have had any emergency contingency plan of action as to resolve the problems during last year’s storm. In 2011, I lived in the suburbs of Tokyo during the March 11 Japan earthquake. Even though the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power plant up north rendered inoperable by he tsunami, we still had electrical power. Face it, PEPCO is not a good power supply company. It needs to work and develop it’s infrastructure to prevent further power outages throughout the metropolitan DC and surrounding counties PEPCO serves. Absolutely shitty service.

It is shocking and dismal how poorly Pepco performs. They raise the rates continually for poorer and poorer service. They need to be reined in by governmental agencies and held accountable for their outages and the inconveniences caused to the customers.

May they be hot without A/​C, and Cold without heat.
May their food spoil, and their wallets deplete because of having to eat.
Though may their animals not suffer like mine have!
While the infrastructure crumbled, the fatcats sat back and did nothing to repair.
My power has gone out so many times, my food has gone bad (even with the bags of Ice in the Fridge)
The stoplights stop, and the damage you cause, should be brought into criminal court.
O! Pepco, I Hate thee.
