I think that this is the best fast food offering inside of the Pentagon City mall. The food is hearty, fresh, and relatively healthy. I enjoy the gyros, especially the chicken one. The lentil soup was initially off-putting until i began to appreciate the delicate sourness of the broth. Highly recommended, if only to shake things up a bit.

I wasn’t expecting much. I had to go to Pentagon City to pick up a few things and I was hungry. The food court doesn’t have the most inspired selection, so I figured this Mediterranean-looking place was probably preferable to, well, all the usual fixings(McDonald’s, Subway, Panda Express, etc). I ordered a falafel pita. For $ 5.10 I got the tiniest falafel wrap I’ve ever had, with lettuce, tomato and a nasty lemon-sesame dressing. I wanted a dollop of hummus; that cost an additional 38 cents. Bullshit. Not very good. Pentagon City is a food desert. The meats looked awful, in my opinion.

I ordered some roasted beef w/pita or pita with beef. I don’t know what went wrong, but the beef and sauce were ridiculously sour. The pita was filled minimally. It wasn’t worth the price, and I ended up buying more food from elsewhere to get rid of the taste and fill my stomach. I’m sure they’ve had better days, but skip the beef for sure and maybe just skip this place altogether.

This small eatery in the Pentagon City Food court serves really GOOD pita sandwiches and dip. I’ve tried the falafel sandwich, the gyro sandwich, and the baba ganoush with flatbread, and they all tasted great. I’ve tried these sandwiches in other restaurants and they don’t seem to be as tasty as the sandwiches prepared by this place. Also, this is a great place if you want a quick bite to eat.
