We went to Pinstripes to celebrate a birthday. We sat at the bar while we waited for a couple members of our party. The bar tender was very personable. We tried a couple beers, suggested by the bartender, which were pretty good. When our party arrived we were em seated for Brunch. The brunch was buffet style. I was skeptical at first based off the size of the selection. I tried the omelette station which was pretty good. I also tried the carved ham, pasta, chicken tenders, waffle station and a couple desserts. The waffle station was pretty good. I highly recommend the Nutella waffle, delish! I was expected wings but the chicken tenders they had were actually pretty good. We also took advantage of the bottomless mimosas. Overall the food was good, our waitress kept our glasses full. I would definitely like to go back for dinner. May be a good spot for my rehearsal dinner :)

This review is updated to reflect last experience at Pinstripes. My friend and I decided to challenge each other in bowling. Reserving an hour’s worth of bowling was easy. .. I just called several days before. Anyhow, we checked in and soon we got our lane. We enjoyed our time bowling and it’s unfortunate for me that I lost both games, but nevertheless I was really happy. We had an awesome experience from check-in to finish.

Thank goodness for the Gilt City DC coupon because my meal was free. If I had to pay the regular price for their Sunday Buffet Brunch, I would’ve been pissed afterwards. The food is nothing to write home about. For such a popular brunch, why would there only be one person manning the waffle station and two people manning the omelette station? Doesn’t make sense. The lines I saw were completely unnecessary if organized properly. Also, it took way too long for the dishes to be refilled. Went to get some sausage, empty. How about some scrambled eggs? Empty. Bacon? Empty. For an Italian establishment, the chefs should feel shame for the mac & cheese that was presented to the customers. No visible cheese in place and it looked watery. The only highlight for my friends was the Fondue Station. I wasn’t in the mood for desert so I didn’t partake. I want to come back to bowl. But I may hold off eating there again.

I recently hosted an office holiday party here(70+ people). The catering staff was amazing and extremely attentive. We had the family style meal and all the food was delicious. The salmon was a crowd favorite. We reserved bowling lanes and bocce courts which worked out well. The staff did a great job at making sure everyone was being helped and had a great time. Would definitely suggest this place for a variety of occasions!

Our office has been here several times for lunch. The food is quite tasty. Our favorites are the tomato soup… OMG…tastes like really good pasta sauce, the chicken tortilla soup(we’re here every Wednesday for this soup!), and apparently the lasagna, which my colleagues love. It’s really nice and easy food and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

I had a wonderful time!!! Friends and I went out to celebrate a special birthday, Terri’s ##th! The parking is convenient BUT pricy!!! I paid $ 21! I wish they would validate parking. Anywho, we played Bocce Ball. It was a first time experience. I was quite shocked on how engaging this game was. At first, we were skeptical but as the game progressed, we quickly realized that it was a fun game! Then out of nowhere… A freaking MOUSE! Not the business. Fortunately, I wasn’t eating. There were some of our guests that had food. Apparently, they didn’t give a sh*t! Lol. After bocce ball, we moved to the bowling section. We had a ball!!! The only issue was that the bowling lanes were kind of narrow. The drinks were nice and stiff. That was much appreciated. The food looked good but the mouse turned me all the way off. It’s Georgetown, so it’s kinda to be expected. I WILL return. I will definitely eat first. Rodents and food… NOPE!!!

I looked forward to visiting this place with much anticipation. Myself and My girlfriend decided to have a brunch date here and we had a blast. Brunch is set up in buffet style with various stations. I must say the mini waffle station w/the Nutella cream was outstanding along with the station with bacon. I am aware that there are many bacon lovers out there but this by far was the best bacon I have every had. Not too soft, not too hard and cooked perfectly. Let me repeat cooked perfectly. Our server was great also he kept the mimosas coming and was very engaging. We also reserved a Bocce Ball Court. We were slated for an hour of play. We were able to continue to have our mimosas while playing which was an unexpected bonus. FYI– There a lot of small children and families who attend this brunch from 10am-3pm so be mindful of that. Other brunch spots are usually adult oriented but if you do have kid or don’t mind them this could be a great outing.(Brunch is only on Sundays) Would definitely visit again! Great for groups and families! The bacon is yummy!

One beautiful Sunday afternoon, a few of us were looking for a spot to eat and we had our puppy with us. After dealing with another place around the corner that gave us the wrong information about their patio, we decided to see if Pinstripes allows dogs on their patio. That was the first plus. Secondly, we decided to try the brunch that included mimosas(friends were happy about that!). Not only was it delicious but it was fresh! They have a separate section for the omelets and waffles and they are to die for. Was very impressed with this place!

Meh. Upon arrival we were told there was a several hour wait for a bowling lane since most lanes were booked for parties. We were going to drink/snack at the bar, but we ended up with a lane about 15 minutes after we made the reservation. The bar/restaurant area was nice. We didn’t eat, so I can’t comment as to the food. It did look tasty, however. This is not your typical bowling alley experience. Then lanes were well kept, and the leather sofas were a nice touch. However, this was a very awkward bowling experience. There were huge pillars that blocked the view of the lanes to the sides. It was hard to keep up with who was bowling — since you don’t bowl when the person on the lane next to you bowls as a courtesy. Also, the pillars blocked the view of the ball return. It felt like we were sitting on a sofa, very far away from a bowling lane with no balls in site. This just wasn’t my cup of tea. All of the lanes were full but we hardly heard a ball hit, pins fall, or even music. My friends and I were cautious about our noise level because we felt like we would disturb those around us(we are big on cheering for each other). It seemed like people were there to hang out, not to bowl. This was also unfortunate to see since the wait was so long for those of us not attending one of the parties. If you are looking to hang out, I’d stick to the bar/restaurant area. There is also bocce available at Pinstripes, but it was full the day we went. Die hard bowlers, I’d go elsewhere.

This place is so much bigger than I thought! Right when you walk in they have a nice bar with several TV’s to keep you occupied if there happens to be a wait time. There is a restaurant area with tables and an entire upstairs devoted to private events. You walk by 3 – 4 indoor bocce courts on your way back to the lanes. Once you finally find your way to the bowling lanes there are about 10 or so lanes. The lanes themselves really felt weird. Maybe it was just the really low ceilings or something but it seemed odd. They also didn’t have much of a selection as it came to bowling balls. Oh well. The space itself is very nice and they serve up pretty tasty food. There was a child’s birthday party a few lanes down and every time they came by with food we were staring. I mean, they had an entire serving tray full of fries. A tray. This is a nice place in Georgetown with plenty to choose from. Definitely a place worth checking out and having a drink…

Prior to my experience at Pinstripes, I had only visited AMF locations. Pinstripes is unique in that it serves a la carte restaurant-quality food and drinks to your lanes. The idea sounds great, but there is some stress associated with this set-up. You are quickly eating so you don’t hold up the game. Most importantly, if you prefer eating pizza/flatbread with your fingers like me, it becomes a germaphobe’s nightmare. That said, the options for food are quite appealing. I was able to try their sausage and pepper pizza, calamari, lobster bisque, and grilled salmon sandwich. The pizzas are pretty solid — flavorful, fluffy thin crust, and a variety of topping options. The calamari was good, but nothing to write home about. The lobster bisque was creamy and tasty — actual chunks of lobster garnished the soup and that was much appreciated. The salmon was on the dry side, but that is usually the case with cooked salmon(I generally prefer to eat it raw, so take my opinion with a grain of salt). Regarding the actual bowling experience, I would say it’s pretty standard and without any technical issues. There is an interesting(for lack of a better word) music selection. If you like cosmic bowling as much as I do, I would recommend AMF or Fort Myer. The prices for bowling are pretty steep, but this is Georgetown after all: $ 12/hr and $ 5/shoe rental. You book by the hour and it isn’t prorated if you prefer to leave before the hour is up. Service is very slow. I am assuming this is due to them bouncing between the bowling and restaurant areas. Regardless, I saw my server twice. I would return to Pinstripes if I were in the area and had an intense desire to bowl; otherwise, I’ll stick to AMF. tl;dr: Overpriced high-end bowling alley with decent food.

Soooo… I don’t know how to say this. If I point out a mouse to a staff person at any establishment, I expect some sort of reaction. I need them to at least pretend to be concerned if not only for my benefit. Three different staff people made no effort to seek out or ask where the mouse actually was. Yuck! Aside from that… I would give Pinstripes 3 stars. The bowling alley area is nice and cozy. I really wished the entire establishment had better music. The night we were there the music was old and drab. I don’t know how else to describe it. You would think the music would have some pep on a Saturday evening. I don’t know how to play bocce, but the people playing looked like they were having a blast. I did enjoy the margarita I had.

I wanted this to be a five star review… I really did. Unfortunately, the sight of a small mouse running under the couch at my lane, and the employees subsequent disregard of my complaint, is the reason for this low rating. I found the private nature of the bowling space to be very nice, and the attentive nature of our server was very pleasant. The drinks were a bit overpriced, and the food selection after 11 was meager, but I could see coming here with a group and having a fun time. But the music played in the bowling area was almost dreary… Quite emo and not appropriate for a fun atmosphere. Again, the mouse sighting lowered this rating from a four to a two.

I“ve come here for the Sunday brunch buffet, and I’m a fan! The buffet comes with bottomless and delicious mimosas already included in the price, so take advantage. The food selection is pretty varied too. They have your classic breakfast foods, smoked salmon, a deliciously fresh fruit oatmeal parfait, delicious bruschetta, and an assortment of more carb dishes. They have a omelette station, meat carving station, and a waffle station(my favorite spot!) where they serve combos like banana foster, nutella, and balsamic. Last but not least, they have a dessert station, featuring a chocolate fountain. Overall, an often overlooked but great place for brunch and for big groups(they have lots of space!).

Upscale bowling/Bocce Ball/restaurant/bar. Beautiful space, rustic, classy, dim, romantic… not what I expected from a bowling ally??? We reserved a lane to bowl and you get your own server where you can order full bar drinks and food. The drinks were just ok, got the Hendricks Gin drink and while it sounded great it was a lil disappointing in taste(too sweet) and we all ordered a bunch of food to try… highlight was definitely the ahi tuna flatbread, just ridiculously delish… grilled flatbread with just the right crunch, with a sweet sauce then tuna, arugula, avocado soooo yummy! The chicken Marsala with risotto was just ok, nothing special, pass on this, get a flatbread! We had a lot of fun and this is a great night out!

The food was surprisingly good. Drinks moderately priced and well made. I love the atmosphere. This was my first time here. Bowling was fun and intimate and the servers were pleasant and helpful. Fun date spot. I’ll definitely return. Had to edit and take a star away. Two guests in our party never received their meals. We’re rushed off of the lanes as we were trying to get it corrected and had to wait 20 min to get that done. A sour end to an otherwise great experience.

Parking is in an underground garage for about $ 20.00 or street parking on an awful hill in Georgetown — best of luck with that option! Checking in with a group is always iffy unless you all arrive together. Waiting at the bar and ordering a food is an option but you need to start your time at the reserved time. I highly recommend the Ahi Tuna salad, largest 4 chunks of Tuna ever. The salmon dish is also delectable. Our last visit there the lanes malfunctioned, our 2 hour game was refunded. It is not that dark bowling alley, music videos all over type of bowling alleys. It is quite family friendly other than the fact that there’s hardly ever children. The space is VERY large and brunch looks promising!

Had a great time at Pinstripes! The food was great and especially the complimentary bread/oil. We ordered the pear salad, mozzarella balls, and pepperoni pizza. Thanks to Unilocal we got a complimentary coffee flavored gelato with these delicious chocolate dipped biscotti sticks! It was divine! The pear salad was good. The cranberries and candied pine nuts made it stand out. The cheese balls were just standard mozz sticks shaped into balls with marinara on the side. The pepperoni pizza was ok. Needed some red pepper flakes and Parmesan to beef up the flavor. The bowling! You can reserve the lanes but it has to be at least 24 hours in advance. I recommend doing that. We got lucky last night. We arrived at 8, was told a table wouldn’t be easy until 10:30. The buzzer went off at 9:30 for our lane!!!

We celebrated my last day of work on Georgetown’s campus by reserving a lane for bocce. None of us had ever played and figured why not. The game is like curling meets billiards, without the broom thingy and awesome curling pants. Their happy hour is pretty good. I had a Rose & Ginger, port wine with ginger beer, which was simple but tasty. I ordered the fig and prociutto flatbread. For #7 it was a pretty good size, and tasty! A coworker had the sliders. As soon as I bit into one I could tell it had truffle oil, which might be okay for others but I can’t stand truffle oil… You can tell the place gets a lot of business for bocce and happy hour. I couldn’t see if the bowling lanes were busy or not, but the dining area both upstairs and downstairs were completely empty. The location is really big, but the dining area is a lot of wasted space.
