I picked up the Pollystyle curry cashew brittle at Cheesetique in Alexandria, and it’s delicious. The chunks of brittle are thick, but the brittle itself is soft enough to bite through easily. It’s a nicely buttery toffee, although the cashews seem to be more texture than flavor, and could probably be more flavorful. But the curry addition to the toffee mixture really elevates the taste to a different level. It’s a nice change from typical brittles.

I just picked up some of pollystyle cashew brittle at The Cheesetique(Del Ray section of Alexandria) and it is the best brittle I’ve ever had. Look for pollystyle in specialty food stores aroundthe DC metro area. You won’t be disappointed!

So Polly Brown doesn’t actually have a bakery you can go to. However, you can order from her. I found out about her because she shares kitchen space with an afterschool program I volunteer with. I’ve never met her but I see her baking supplies stored neatly in the back of the kitchen. When we are in the kitchen she’s off making her delivieries. So then I started to wonder is she was the«salty oat» woman. She’s not! I was dying to try one of her goods. I happened to find her graham crackers at a SmartKafe and my oh my are they delicous. If you are having a party or a meeting and need some snacks catered I’m sure you could try out Polly.
