Pure Shea Store

Okay, I’ll calm down now. So, I’ve been coming to the Eastern Market/​Capitol Hill location for over a year and I’ve yet to be disappointed with the service or products. The manager of this location is Skip and he is very knowledgeable about all products and what product works for what. Typically, I purchase 4 shower bars for $ 10.00 (I think they are $ 3.00 for one bar) and shea butter lotion, which is $ 10.00 (my favorite scent is the cocoa mango). I love that their products are all natural; they use essential oils for their fragrance and the coconut oil in the shower bars gives a nice lather – who knew coconut oil could lather?! My skin doesn’t feel dry anymore. I’m really trying to stay away from products with chemicals, parabens and such. They have a large selection of raw shea butter infused with different scents (the pear smells really nice) as well as the plain – I usually just get plain. In addition, they have shea facial bars (African black soap, morianga (sp?)), Skip recommended the morianga for mild acne – which I have, so I’ll give that a try and see what happens. I’ve never felt pressured to buy anything and he stands 100% behind his products. If you are at Eastern Market, you should check Pure Shea out.
