I would not recommend this insurance agent or Allstate.
I had previously held renters insurance through Allstate for a piece of personal property at a cost of $ 348/​year. The insurance expired in 2014 and was not renewed. I contacted Rudy’s office a few weeks ago to obtain new renters insurance with the same terms and conditions as previous and was quoted $ 362/​year, which was fine. The policy was bound and I thought I was done. A few days ago I accessed the Allstate portal to pay the policy in full and was surprised to see that the policy was cancelled and was scheduled to terminate in mid-​February, less than four weeks after it began. I contacted the office via email to inquire about this and was told there was an error made on their side when the policy was bound that caused it to be rejected by their underwriter. They would need to fix it but the new quote was $ 753/​year! This was more than double the original quote! I couldn’t believe it.
What was to be a very simple and straightforward transaction has turned into a waste of time. Not informing me immediately of the policy termination was unprofessional and irresponsible and doubling their original quote is somewhat sketchy. In addition, I was told I was still responsible for paying for the cancelled policy for the less than four week period it was active after it was bound. With so many insurance options out there I’m moving on from this company. Not only have they lost my business but my husband going to cancel his policies as well.

Rudy and his team are not only knowledgeable about insurance, but they also care about the customer and the customer’s needs. I went to his office only looking for renters insurance. After talking to Rudy and his financial specialist, Lynette, I was educated on the numerous benefits of Life insurance. I did not feel like I was being «sold» another product, I felt like his team went above and beyond to teach me something I knew nothing about (life insurance!). Needless to say, I am now better protected and a very happy customer! Whoever you talk to– Rudy, Alita, Billie, Fritz, Pamela, Lynette– you will be well taken care of, they are all great!

Although I stand by my earlier review, Rudy recently contacted me to let me know that he’s made some changes that should prevent other people from experiencing the problems I had.
