I am very hesitant to write a review of Dr Scott because I’m afraid that I’ll never be able to get an appointment again. :\
He does his own cleanings and doesn’t have a hygenist. He used to be on the dental faculty at Georgetown. He’s a gadget freak and has some crazy x-​ray machine that does digital images. He always keeps his appointments. We had a craaazy snow storm last year and he came in from the boonies in VA for my appointment. I live up the street (less than a mile) and I seriously thought about rescheduling the snow was so bad (I had to shovel out the driveway to get to the dentist), but I digress…
He’s a great dentist. How great a dentist? Well, I had him do a porcelain crown (I have several) and:
(1) It’s the prettiest crown I have (including the one I had done at Harvard Dental School and the two I had done by a professor at the UCSF dental school).
(2) Instead of giving me the metal temp crown (between the prep crown and the final crown), he got some crazy white plastic moldy thing and sculpted a temp out of the stuff that looked exactly like a tooth! Added bonus of this plastic stuff was that the contact between the teeth was exactly right (and stayed that way until I got the final crown).
Finally (and I really should not put this last piece of info on Unilocal) — he has Saturday appointments once a month… our secret, ok?
