Someone should put a warning label on these little nuggets of yumminess because they are highly addicting! They are also indescribable. If you remember the scene of Lucy cramming chocolates in her mouth, well that is what I looked like when I was gifted some of these morsels of delight. Do yourself a favor and forget about the diet for a day and treat yourself. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Heard about the DreamBites and ordered them straight to California!
I took one bite and I couldn’t get enough. The Cookie + Dreams is by far, my favorite one out of all!
They’re all delicious and they have the perfect amount of sweetness. Plus, they’re treats you can eat every day, during holidays and at events!

Wow! Where do I start? My husband, daughter and I throw an annual Holiday Open House each year for friends and family, usually about 120 people. Each year the 3 of us work so hard on this event that we rarely have the time or energy to enjoy it ourselves. This year, Sandie Diamond and her team from the Shameless Chef to the rescue! Sandie and her right hand woman, Quiana Walton, met with me a few weeks prior to the event to scope out our small place on Capitol Hill and to go over a menu. From that point on I was relieved of all responsibility for the party. Sandie and Quiana did the shopping, hauling, preparing, set-​up, serving and complete clean up. My menu request was simple but plentiful and they followed it, but added delicious surprises like stuffed and bacon wrapped figs, homemade Bruschetta and corn bread stuffing. Of course Sandie’s Dream Bites were the hit of the event! Sandie was happy to save me money by purchasing many of the menu items, including beer and wine, from Costco and were even happy to return some cases of unused wine for a refund! The team used my silver, platters, and Holiday china to follow my traditions, as well as some of their own, and my pieces were all returned to their nesting places in my home after the party. Sandie brought a team of professional woman to help during the event. I didn’t clear a single plate or need to refill a single platter or guest’s drink. They were magnificent. They packaged to go plates for guests who asked for them, they kept the house spotless amongst at least 10 children running around at all times, they completely cleaned up and put away everything, even leaving the mountain of trash neatly stacked for DC curbside pickup. My husband Mark and my daughter Olivia will never let me throw another party without Shameless Chef, nor would I ever want to! Thank you Sandie, Quiana and the other ladies from Shameless Chef! You out did yourselves!

Destroying cakes and emotional seclusion.
I had the honor of meeting DC’s up-​and-​coming pastry genius «Shameless Chef» at a wedding that was being catered by her ‘cake bites.’ Not ever hearing of the delectable devils that I could not stop ogling, I approached the smiling women to get the dibs on the dips. What I encountered was not only a bold taste but a bold business model that can be tasted in each bite.
She bakes a cakes, destroy them, and in the process reinvents not only the food but the person making it. Ending up in the DMV post master’s degree in Social Work, this baker feels the process of making these balls with love is a form of therapy for those struggling with personal demons and unhealthy dependencies. Listening to her story in awe, she shared her goal of hiring those who not only need a job but who need to be healed. Genius!
So yes, there is a cliché that emotions can be tasted in food, but I think this Shameless Chef has proven it fact. I tried:
Chocolate³: the cure to the chocoholic.
Pumpkin: pure fall desire.
Red Velvet: sinfully good in a sinless size.
Carrot Pecan: a smooth and sweet adaptation of a forgotten fibber treat AND the best carrot cake I’ve ever had.
Though what stole the show as well as the actual wedding cake at the wedding was her simple «Vanilla» cake ball. My 2015 favorite dessert of the district. Yes Pixar fans, this is that moment in «Ratatouille» (2007) when Anton Ego food critic tastes one bite of Ratatouille and is transported back in time and left motionless. How can destruction taste so good? I have no idea. Though this perfect bite of pure sweet vanilla is what I have been thinking about even while eating a professional pasty chef’s wedding cake.

Newly-​opened. Great place for delicious desserts. It has a wonderful and tasteful owner. Will definitely order catering for my next event.

What a sweet surprise! I ordered dream bites (OG Chocolate, Cookies + Dreams and Cake Tartare) for a coworkers office birthday celebration less than 24 hours before I needed them. Chef was extremely friendly and helpful.
The location is a little tricky to find if you aren’t familiar with the area but she came out to meet me, which was even better. (The only reason for the 4 stars)
Now for the tasting… my coworkers can’t stop talking about these bite-​sized delights. They were Ahhhhh-​mazing!!! I can’t say enough about how moist and flavorful they were. Already thinking ahead to the holiday party. Cookies + Dreams was the winner!!!

The Shameless Chef brings a refreshing perspective to the land of sweets! Dream bites are all that’s right with desserts, amazing texture, brilliant flavors, and all in an individual, bite-​sized package that makes for easy and delightful enjoyment. I make it a point to get dream bites every time I’m in the DC area!

Love this place! I’ve tried a bunch of the flavors but I really like the classic chocolate the best. Plus the service was outstanding. Sandie is a real professional!
