This place is not the same it was when I lived around her as a child. My last experience was the worse! I ordered the fried shrimp. The shrimp were hard a rubbery and I couldn’t figure out a funky smell I was smelling while I was eating and then broke a shrimp in half and found the smell. The smell was so bad I almost threw up. Pulled the batter off the shrimp and the look pale white and not the nice pink color. I will NEVER go there again. They need to take this place down!

Food here was horrendous, I live down the street and really wished it was good. City landmark for sure but terrible food in a sketch environment.

The worst seafood in d.c. i’m sure. Fish had no flavor and tasted like it had been sitting there for months. The «Soul Food» they called there self selling had been sitting there all day. To make things worse I paid for my food and 5 min later the lady tried to make me pay again and I was the only one in the store. She even went as far as reviewing the tape to see if I paid. Save your money there are much better seafood places out there.

If you are out this way — tasty seafood. Affordable price. And you never know what sort of interesting Obama gear you’ll find for sale outside. Metro is two steps away.
