Good reasonably priced coffee that does not taste burnt(like Starbucks). Will be back again.

What a cute place! It’s a tiny hole in the wall, and the people there are SO nice. And to top it off, the vanilla chai latte was fantastic! I can be a tough critic when it comes to the CLs, but I would love to go back to try one of the other 5 or so flavors. The Chilena empanada was just alright. The quality of the meat was questionable, the egg was tiny, not many raisins, and the dough was a little too thick. But it was a satisfying mid-afternoon snack. What a great find so close to work!

I’ve been going to this place for 10 years. They have the best espresso and the friendliest staff in town. Don’t count on sitting there though — it’s a tiny space but that adds to its charm.

I’m so sad! I only have 1 coffee break slotted a day on my trip and I stumble upon this place which is like water and coffee flavor. I was shocked to find such a small store front but thought maybe it was just a gem in disguise. The cashier didn’t really speak English which probably isn’t a good sigh for a coffee place named after Seattle. Then I ordered a hot coffee and thought I could choose the type but there was only 1 brew. It’s kind of silly how a bad coffee day could get to you but those who love your good cup of joe could probably relate.

I love this place. stumbled upon it when walking to H&M. Its conviniently located near metro center. its a hole in the way but the coziest warmest, best smelling hole in the wall youve ever seen. theres a standing counter for 2 but i always get my café con leche to go. Only 1.90 for a medium café con leche. So cheap compared to a burnt cup of starbucks. the owners/baristas are SO friendly. they seem like a mother daughter duo. When you walk in youre hit with warm coffee air. i want to make this my daily coffee but its a little far from my office. havent tried the empanadas yet but im dying to! lovely place. great price. great coffee.

Damn good coffee, teeeny empanadas(for $ 4, I expected them to be a little bigger. Also, not so dry inside.) Seriously, they make stupendous coffee; good roast, really well done espresso drinks(oh breve, how I love you), zero bitterness, super smooth and non acidic. Go for the coffee, don’t bother w/the empanadas.

The empanadas are DC prices $ 4/each, they should only be $ 2 each and the quality not as good, smaller and dry.

I’ve been coming here most mornings for about a month and will definitely continue. It’s a charming little hole-in-the-wall with very friendly staff, fast service, and good prices. I mostly just get coffee but I’ve heard good things about the small food items as well. The coffee is cheap, good, and they give a 20-cent discount for bringing your own mug – just make sure you have cash on hand if you’re ordering less than $ 4.00!

Found this little place just down from the hotel we stayed at. Less than Starbucks and better taste! Plus the people working are lovely and friendly.

Spot On good breakfast eat. Store is beside Payless Shoe store 12th cor G St NW right on the Metro Center Station. Good selection of coffee(currently enjoying Caramel Mocha Macchiato) and chicken empanada. Original choice was the spinach and cheese but they were out. Service is A+, very polite and efficient(best recipe for retaining loyal patrons). They also have pastries like muffins, bagels, donuts, etc. You won’t go wrong with this choice. What on earth are you waiting for.

We just stopped in for a latte, but it was good, hot and fast. It’s a tiny little place, but they had what we needed around the corner from our hotel.

Nice convenient spot to pick up coffee in the bustling downtown area. The place is tiny with a few stools inside and a table or two directly outside so you’re better off getting your goods to go. I tried their almond latte, which was good and gave me a nice pleasant morning jolt. Granted, I haven’t tried any of their other brews but I have a few on my shortlist to try next time. Service was prompt and polite. If you’re in the area, try this place out over one of the many chain coffee stores situated about each block. Also — there’s a minimum of $ 4 for credit/debit card transactions so if you just want one lone cup of coffee, bring your pocket change.

Finally. Good food and coffee near metro center. If u work here you know metro center is the black hole of good eating and drinking. This place is authentic reasonable and fresh. Iced caramel machiato and beef empenada. Sicc!

The best place in DC for a Colombian style coffee. It is not just about the great favor and aroma, it is also about the warm smile and friendly attitude of «mis amores», and, of course, the music.

Literally right across from Metro Center. It’s a very small coffee shop and easy to miss; I walked right by it the first time. Service is first-class and super friendly. As previous Unilocalers have noted, the cup sizes are smaller than other shops so the coffee is a little higher priced here. However, the coffee is absolutely delicious! I ordered the latte with irish cream.2 thumbs up! :)

Looked for this place after reading the rave reviews. Not worth the hype. I paid $ 3 for a small l raspberry mocha latte that is smaller than anything you’d get somewhere else, I’d say 8 or 10 oz, and it didn’t even taste good. The raspberry flavor was overpowering with no discernable chocolate or coffee. I might come again to try something else.

Definitely NOT good for groups! That being said, I love SoS’ coffee, and the service is great, too. I don’t know how crowded it gets during the morning rush, but getting a cup to go during non-morning-rush-hours is a breeze.

Friendly service and tasty coffee, you can easily walk past this place and not even notice it if you aren’t looking for it. This place is tiny so plan to get it to go, though they have a few seats. Their coffee and baked goods are a good deal but it HIGHLY annoys me that they have a $ 4 minimum for credit cards. Their coffee is good enough to get me as a regular, but their credit card policy means I’ll only be there to try a specialty drink or baked good on occasion.

Incredible value here from some nice people — walked over from my hotel for a light breakfast(they have limited food) I ordered a large Americano, small juice and chobani yogurt — total of $ 5.30! I left a big tip and walked away very happy
