Washington, DC’s National Mall and many of Smithsonian’s famed museums. Hear the many stories behind DC’s landmarks and most famous national treasures on this three hour tour. Covering over 1,000 acres of the National Mall and Memorial Parks, this is DC’s only tour that departs directly from the Mall at the National Museum of American History. Must be at least 16 years old to participate. (Min. weight 100lbs, max 260lbs).

If you live in the DC area — you should be used to take EVERYONE to see the monuments…
My friends from Minnesota came to town for the weekend — and I need to see the national mall and all the monuments AGAIN!

Was looking for a building to find them, however they were there waiting by a park bench just on right spot.
Corey helped us get comfortable riding/​driving the segways and then we saw a lot of good sights, Segway helps see more than walk, bus etc great way to see DC ;)

Highlight of our trip to DC.
We had an excellent tour by our guide Lee of the highlights around the National Mall. The segways are really easy to learn how to ride and tons of fun once you get comfortable on them. The tour takes you on a circle around the mall with frequent stops and chances to get off and take pictures. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was great at giving little tourist tips that helped us out during the rest of our stay in Washington.
If you are planning a visit to DC I highly recommend booking this tour for your first day… great introduction to the National Mall area.

My friend and I were meeting up and D.C. and she surprised me with a Segway tour. I’ve seen a ton of people ride the Segways in D.C. and thought that they looked pretty silly. but I got tricked into doing it!
It was a little weird at first learning how to ride the Segway and balance on it. I definitely got the hang out of it rather quickly.
Lee was our tour guide. He was really knowledgeable and very friendly. The Segway was surprisingly very fun to ride. I looked pretty silly on it, but I don’t regret it! Definitely enjoyed my tour and would recommend for someone to try it out. D.C. seems like a good city to do this since there is a lot of walking areas and things to see!
It is a bit pricier than the other Segway tour options, but this had the most up to date Segways and seemed to be better maintained. Also, a plus that it was through the Smithsonian.

Great tour and fun way to see the National Mall. We did a Segway tour in San Diego but this tour was far more interesting. Our tour guide Lee was quite knowledgeable and helped make the trip a memorable one.

great experience and tour. I took my dad and girlfriend on the tour. I was a little apprehensive because they are both 71, but very active. The staff was great and had them up and running in 10 minutes. definitely one of the best ways to see the city. we must have covered at least 10 miles and the saw a lot. The benefits of the segway is that you are a good 8 inches over the crowd, so you can see easily, you can stop and turn on a dime and cruise along at 6 – 7 miles an hour. The tour guide, Cameron, was also really good. We checked a couple of the other segway tours but very glad we chose this one. Its the only one that is actually owned by segway and affiliated with the smithsonian. The training and equipment is top notch. It’s worth the money.

Their «office» is located in the American History Museum — walk in and take a right. Friendly staff checked us in. They walk you around to the back of the museum and debrief you on how to handle a segway (yup, seriously). This took about a half hour for 6 people to train on the segways and get a good handle of them… joking aside though, not *as* easy as it looks lol. Those suckers can move! But definitely feels even dorkier than it looks.
Tour guide takes you to all the historic landmarks and monuments around the city — apparently we covered 7 miles worth of ground.
Perfect way to tour the city if you’re only in town for a short time. If you have a week or longer though, you may just want to leisurely walk or bike through at your own pace.

Rik was our guide and he was awesome. This is the least expensive 3 hour Segway tour in DC and the service is phenomenal. Rik was knowledgable and personable. We had a great time on our Segways.

We decided to do this Segway tour of the mall and monuments instead of the usual trolley thing and it was the best experience of our trip. Their kiosk is right outside the main entrance to the American History museum (mall side). It’s surprising how easy the segways are to ride. My wife was nervous about doing this tour but in 15 minutes she was a natural and wants to do Segway tours in other cities now. This tour covers over 7 miles and there’s no way we could have walked it all. The guide was very knowledgeable about the monuments and museums. We want to go again the next time we visit DC.
